I've never had a worse experience with a lawyer in my life! Not only is my divorce hard on me but working with Amy made it worse! She never responds to any emails. When you go talk to her she repeats the same thing over and over and never lets you ask questions. She loves to here herself talk so don't expect to ask questions. I tried to fire her and do the divorce myself but apparently the judge didn't like that and ordered us to appear in court. So here I am trying to get a divorce and all the papers are signed. My EX and myself came to an agreement months ago and we are now going to court because Amy never does her work. That's right ... all papers are signed and we agree to everything but we have to go to court because Amy Sheets never responds to any emails from clients or other lawyers. Please for all that's holy do not hire this woman. She will make an already horrible time in your life worse.

I found Sheets to be extremely agrumentative, fails to return phone calls, blames others in the office that she works at and fails to follow the orders of the court. She failed to show up to several hearings involving victims. As a result the defense counsel was able to get lighter sentences for the suspect who ruined our lives. Because she failed to show we did not get any reimbursment for the damages caused by the defendant. Lazy with a capital L

Amy is an outstanding lawyer and prosecutor. In my experience, she is equitable and consistent. She is supremely professional both in her demeanor and work. She is not punitive for her own aggrandizement, but strict with the demands of the law. She is personable and consummately responsive and,unlike a good number of her colleagues, does not indulge in minimizing regular citizens, clients, or various court personnel who are valuable/important in their own right, or who render significant services, though these individuals are not perched on the self-erected, untouchable pedestal of those who have obtained a law degree.

Amy Sheets is a wonderful attorney. I am lucky she is taking care of my case. I am able to get a hold of her and she does all she can to make sure my best interest is served. I am grateful great attorneys still exist.

Sheets is a deputy prosecutor in Jefferson County. Her demeanor in handling victims of crime is less than appropriate. She argues, refuses to provide updates, fails to return repeated phone calls and then berates the victim when being asked why her office violates the Victims Rights Law under the State Constitution. This office acts without communication that is necessary with the victims as required under state code. They dismiss charges or reduce without notification to the victim. Do not expect that this attorney or anyone from her office is going to protect the rights of any victim. Bar needs to properly investigate and public needs to demand that changes be made.
