OMG I was looking for a place to write a review about how terrible Robert treated me and my family and all the money he charged was out of line and we found several charges where he did not do the work but billed us. I thank God I kept a log of all interactions and dates and times. AND he also overbilled me for time - if I was only on the phone for 24 min, he billed me for 1 full hour. He is a crook. And, I would spin my wheels trying to get work out of him and action. He went through several employee turnovers during the time I hired him and I then let him go because he was not doing the job.

Robert burch is unethical and a terrible attorney. He buys the "SuperLawyer badge" as a way to advertise. He excessively overfills, doesn't address the details and turns just about everything over to his paralegal. AVOID. Total snake.

Robert Burch is the absolute worst attorney in Orange County. maybe it is the brain tumor he had years ago, but the guy should not be practicing. He excessively over-bills, doesn't remember facts, doesn't care about the details or clients lives. SLOPPY, SLOPPY WORK. A walking talking disaster of an attorney. You will regret hiring this incompetent attorney.

A WARNING to all consumers. Attorney Robert B. Burch did not do the work he had committed to doing and screwed up my case royally. In my opinion he is one of the absolute worst family law attorneys in orange county. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

Horrible beyond words. He doesn't know what he is doing and told our family one thing and did another. it was like he had too many clients he couldn't keep track or he simply didn't care. He was arrogant, rude and dismissive and bills excessively for everything. I compared his bill for the exact same services to a friend and he was 2-3X hight in his hours. Bad experience all the way around. Preys on the uneducated and vulnerable. Buyers beware.

Inattentive and preoccupied with other clients most of the time. Disinterested in really helping and lack of empathy. Arrogant. Struck out on follow-up and details. Moved to another firm.

An absolutely horrific experience working with Burch, Coulson & Shepard. Robert Burch EXCESSIVELY over-billed and did not provide the value he was retained for. He continually pushed out court hearings because he was not prepared. He was disengaged from my case and had an attitude of "take it or leave it" and tried to get me to fire him in a passive aggressive game of deceit. He also communicated incorrect information about my case. He is not to be trusted and has had at least 2 malpractice cases against him and the firm. Look them up in Orange County public court records. You will see claims of fraud, malpractice, excessive over-billing and more. It was too late for me when I found this. Look it up before you send your hard earned money.

Readers should take these reviews with a grain of salt, as anyone can post anonymous reviews on this site - opposing party, opposing counsel, a stalker, a scorned individual, a competitor in the industry,etc. A reviewer can also post different reviews on different websites pretending to be different "clients." This is in an attempt to hurt a person's reputation and livelihood with false claims - all ANONYMOUSLY. As for Robert Burch, he is an excellent attorney with an excelleny staff.

Overall good. Did not like his assistant Marietta as she was rude, dismissive and arrogant. When Robert was in the room with me she acted different than when she interacted with me. She was two-faced and it seemed more focused on making herself look good to him than working with me professionally. She has an attitude and is not very nice. This is why I voted the way I did on this review. I liked my discovery person and the receptiionst was nice. pretty much everyone fit the culture of the office but Marietta which was a really unpleasant experience. She also didn't follow through on what I requested and made it seem like a big deal if she had to go out of her way to help me.

I had a pretty good experience working with Robert. There were times he didn't return my call so I had to put communication at 3. The staff is really nice to work with. I really liked working with Ms. Shepard too. Sometimes an attorney named Marietta had to handle some things and she wasn't nice to work with. I am happy that Robert worked to settle my case.

Overall, had a good experience with Robert Burch. My only recommendation is that he be more responsive to email and shorten-up the internal review process so it goes quicker. Smart, good strategic sense. Sincere. Honest.

He appears to be the worst lawyer I've ever seen. He will take a certain win and turn it into a certain loss. I'm not sure he's not on the take. He'll take your money, do nothing and cost you everything. He'll make promises he never keeps. The results he gets are so bad that they aren't even within the realm of what's in the casebooks. He'll let the other side get away with crime, actual crimes, and by the end of it, the only way out is suicide. Do not hire this person if you are a good person. He's on the side of evil and I know that sounds weird but he will help the other side take everything away from you and your children and everyone you love and if you are a middle class woman, you'll likely be thrown out on the street to die with nothing while your husband of a long term marriage doesn't even have to pay support. Who would have thought that your attorney would have helped the other side commit crimes and felonies against you and those you love. How could he not be on t

I absolutely respected him. He is truly a good attorney and overall good human being. He was alwasy polished, sharp, strategic, practical, insightful and honest. Excellent guidance and compassion. Terrific attorney, high integrity and high quality. Attends to the details and is on top of the strategy. My divorce turned combative and complicated and I could finally sleep at night after I hired Robert. I like the staff, they are kind, answer calls, attend to details, treat me with respect. I don't feel bad about spending my money with them like I did with a previous attorney as I sensed the previous one really didn't care. When I started workign with Robert I realized what having a very good attorney was really about. My only regret is that I didn't find him earlier as it would have saved me heartache. If you are an honest person of integrity this is the attorney that matches you. If you have secrets and want to play games and cheat your spouse do not hire Burch & Coulston as they will fire you.

Excellent lawyer. Mr. Burch represented me in my divorce, which was a complicated and high conflict divorce. He handled my case professionally and obtained great results.
