I had a really bad experience with Brock Emberton. He totally screwed up my house sale by advising me wrongly on the mortgage I was going to use. As a result of his advice, I changed things and it was not a good idea. I ended up living like a poor person for 3 years because of him. When I went back to him to tell him he advised me wrongly, he threatened not to close the house sale at the last minute, and to kick me out of his office. I agree with another comment that he needs to retire.

Brock will listen to what is important to you and understand the way a person of wide personal experience is able to understand. He acts quickly and decisively according to your instructions. That said, he also knows his way around officials and bureaucrats, and will advise according to the most effective way for you to succeed with your project or objective. His first impulse is to act reasonably and expect all parties to act reasonably in return. If other parties are unreasonable he is able to firmly convince them of the disadvantages of being unreasonable, and that he has no intention to cave in to those tactics. His congenial style is more likely to get good results at a cheaper price. If that fails, he will go to bat for you, and is very likely to be successful doing so. It is doubtful he will take on an un-winable position at the insistence of a client. I believe his daughter is also a lawyer in his firm, and she shares his methodology. I recommend him and his firm.

Absolutely someone you should consider using. Having had experience with 3 other lawyers in the past 3 years on a couple legal matters, I have come to trust Brock's opinion in much higher regard than the others (although them being very competent as well). Brock is a lawyer who can put things into perspective very simply, someone with real-world experience in law and in life...exactly what one should be looking for.

I have known Brock for over 30 years and he has always provided knowledgeable and professional service. I recommended Brock to friends and their reply to me was that 10 other people had also recommended him for his quality of service and his great rates. In addition, he just received the Westshore Chamber of Commerce award for Professional Integrity by his peers.

I was very frustrated by the complete lack of follow through and communication by Mr. Emberton on an outstanding issue in a real estate matter.

The most conscientious lawyer I've every known. He is fair, truthful and spends alot of time with you as client making sure you understand what you are there for. He is always on time and will go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. The comment above does not make sense for the man that Mr. Emberton is known for.

Brock Emberton needs to retire. He is unable to communicate with his clients without saying "****" and telling them to get our of his office. His rates are very high and he will not budge on his rates. He will get offended if you try to get him to lower his rates and kick you out of his office. He will also throw your file in your face and tell you to go somewhere else.
