He ruined my case. total disaster. do not be deceived by his talk. his actions are the opposite. he is a deal maker. he will sell out his client in a blink of an eye right before the judge with the opposing party/defence. Extremely cunning individual. he uses his age too fool you. please becareful. he is very manipulative.

From other reviews it appears he is inconsistent--not clear why--as in, whether it's the client relationship or something else. I noticed every time I was there the office seemed empty; so, I wonder if he could be going down hill? Anyway, if you do choose him, be sure you check him out thorougly before you sign up, because unfortunately the negative reviews I've read here seem to be fairly consistent with my experience.

Horrific experience with this fast talking lawyer who takes money and does nothing but neglect your case. Shael Eisen told me I would get a free 1 hour consultation and this was a lie as he charged me for the hour and worked up a $7,000.00 bill and did nothing. Trust the bad reviews!

This lawyer will take your money and leave you in your legal never ending nightmare. Unreliable, incompetent, stupid and takes your money and never provides service. Never returns your messages and keeps billing you +++. Advertises and tells you the first 1 hour consulation fee is waived. Liar!!!

Quick to take your money then the ignorance and indifference takes over...gave us incorrect advice regarding family law, advice that cost us many hours and good money to correct..then got indignant and invisible...his arrogance certainly does not match ability...totally useless...had to hire another firm to clean up the mess he left us...would NOT recommend

Unreliable,arrogant. Literally the most unprofessional lawyer you could encounter.I had an appointment at my home with him set up. Did all prep work that he required. He required 2 beneficiaries to attend the meetings.Did not show up did not call. Got a hold of him on his cell an hour after the meeting was scheduled for. He says how are you. I say not good we had a meeting at 3:30 he said I know I wasn’t feeling that great but I can still accommodate you if you want. A man of absolutely no character. Not someone you would ever want to be involved with in any capacity

This man and his team are worth their weight in gold. I was embattled in an estate case with my POS cousin where I thought I would end up with nothing. This was going on for 5 years and the ETDL and their ilk team of lawyers were eating up the estate funds which at one time were approx 2M. Shael got me a 70-30 split within a matter of months of my hiring him. I do not use the term "man" lightly. I save it for persons of integrity who keep their word. This man did just that and resolved this issue within months of my hiring him. I would recommend him and his team to anyone who needs the best when it comes to estates!!! THANK YOU SHAEL AND CASS....

I highly recommend this lawyer...I have had bad experiences with 3 lawyers in Toronto, with one law firm under suspension . My case was very difficult involving a common law husband who died without a will and a sleazy Canadian bank appointed as Trustee. Is he perfect? The answer is no. Does he care? Absolutely yes.. Without any hesitation, I would recommend Shael Eisen and his lawyers to friends, family and business associates. He gets the job done. Is he the cheapest? No but again 50% of the lawyers in Ontario should be disbarred either due to lack of ethics or lack of qualifications. The issues I have are the Law Society of Upper Canada that allows unethical lawyers to operate. Its time that the profession clean up its act and get rid of the rotten lawyer apples that give the profession a bad name.

Mr. Eisen offered me a free consultation. He gave me excellent advice on situation and saved me literally thousands in legal fees by providing practical and straightforward advice. I had been struggling with a certain legal question for months and he gave me a well informed and concise opinion, which cost absolutely nothing. It is truly rare to receive such advice in this day and age for no cost at all. In addition, I needed this answer quickly and he had me in for a meeting literally the next day! I could not have been happier or more appreciative.

Mr Eisen is probably the most ethical, honest, generous and caring person I have ever meet!
He was my lawyer during a very difficult family dispute, his kind nature and sense of humor made me feel very much at ease.
I felt that Mr Eisen was always there for me, always willing to answer any questions, no matter how trivial.
I have the highest respect for this man, and all I can say of him is good.

Shael is definitely a lawyer we would recommend. We went to Shael on the recommendation of another lawyer. As my brother and I live in different cities he came to my home to discuss our situation as a free consultation at a time convenient to us - very hard to find in the legal world. As this is normally a very emotional time for his clients Shael is empathetic but explains exactly what your legal position is, the best way to proceed or not, costs and approximate time line and acts immediately if necessary. He acted for us immediately and obtained the documents we required.

On an estate file that my office referred him with a mentally challenged individual who was being taken advantage of by his sibling, Shael did the file for free. It is near to impossible to find a lawyer like this.

Dishonest, disorganized and disingenuous. Never timely in responses, preparations or attendances. Has his associate with him at all stages of the case, resulting in duplication of work and expense. Shael tells us not to listen to his associate, as the associate doesn't know what he's doing. The associate tells us not to listen to Shael, as Shael doesn't know what he's doing. Takes positions in writing and contradicts them days later. Avoid this lawyer.

I CANNOT believe that the same Shael Eisen has received such negative reviews! I have nothing but good things to say about the work that was done and the service I received!! He came recommended to me by friends who had an estate problem and were very happy. I know nothing about estates - Shael took the time to explain everything along the way in a non- condescending manner. While sometimes he took a day or 2 to respond, he always got back to me with honest answers. His work was transparent, he kept me informed and in the loop and I was never in doubt that my case was in good hands. He is a very busy man and if he could answer every single call and email instantly he would never get any actual work done. My case is still ongoing but I am very happy with the service I am receiving. Iw ould recommend him 100%!!!

This lawyer should never practice law, he should be dis-barred. He is a scammer and a con artist. He is eager to take your hard earned money and do nothing for his client. He has a high opinion of himself beware of his scams. His work is lousy and incomplete, he just doesn't care or want to do a proper job. He has no ethics its all about getting your money. Stay away from him!

This man took 10K of my hard earned money, with little to show. He will not follow up, return phone calls or emails. If you do get him he will tell you how awesome he is and how busy. After 9 months, the only progress, has been a negative draw on my bank account. This man is a wind bag, run away do not look back. He was a recommendation from another Toronto lawyer that has led us astray twice now. God help you if you need an attorney in Canada.

We have a multiple estate fighting case. Two people want everything and never as much as visit the wealthy relative when hospitalized and later transferred to a nursing home. We did al the work and caregiving. Courts are back logged but S.Eisen got us a mediator and some of the money was recovered. Shael is a very good communicator, knows his trade and we left satisfied. I would highly recommend the Eisen lawfirm if you have a difficult case to fight.

Shael Eisen was very responsive in accepting my case and cashing my initial retainer. However, after months have passed without so much as an email from him, and after trying to reach him repeatedly, both by phone and email, he has provided absolutely nothing that resembles service. I did once reach him directly by phone but he said he was waiting for an important phone call and couldn't speak at that moment, promising to get back to me shortly. Well, several days have again passed by and still no call back. This lawyer demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism with this client. I would definitely NOT recommend him.

Ours was a difficult case were several family members who were to be caring for our mother were not keeping books and in fact were taking moneys they were not entitled to. Add to that mental instability and you have a real nasty case. Mr Eisen is without a doubt a Lawyer with infinite integrity, conscientious in pretty much all aspects of a case. Personable and very easy to talk to. Communicates information in a scrupulously detailed, precise and accurate, edifying manner making complicated legal jargon easy to comprehend easing the way for us to feel confident in making informed decisions and choices under very difficult circumstances. Contacting Shael was never an issue. He should be commended for his diplomacy when he dealt with difficult, emotionally unstable family members. Shael restored my faith in lawyers. I would Highly recommend him.
