Too agressive, went on a witch hunt with mutiple legal request to all my employer's including my first one when I was 16 years old. I was in my mid 50s when this action took place. The request were not legally valid as I was not married to the other party till I was in my 40s and all that I earned was premarital assets. After the third attempt two of those former employers had their attorneys respond and tell her what I am sure she already knew. This was a simple divorce with no kids. In the beginning we had an agreement and the other party changed attorneys to Ms. Barret. A simple divorce took over 20 months and finally the judge ordered them to mediation which was what I wanted months earlier. In the end the other party got the same Orgional agreement we had before Ms. Barrett. In mediation they wanted me to pay her bill for this. I told the retired judge/mediator I would go to jail before I would pay one dime of Ms. Barrett's bill. I was never asked again by anyone to pay her.

Ms. Barrett is a confident attorney. She is a force to be reckoned with. She is wonderful in contested custody cases, as well as modification of existing orders. She is realistic, and she will not waste her time or yours. She appears to be respected by her professional counterparts. I strongly recommend Ms. Barrett.

She did a very good job in my family court case. She was compassionate and worked hard for me. I would definitely hire her again and recommend her to others.

Very good first impression. Then she refuses you as a client and keeps your 3500 retainer fee. She refuses your calls and has her staff tell you that she didn't quit but forces you to sign a release. (If you want your case completed ie divorce then you can't proceed if you retained her)

Toots her horn about how long she has practiced law and looks very professional; but after receiving your non refundable retainer, did nothing but hurt my case.
