I don't what all the negative reviews are about. Probably disgruntled people whose lawyer lost to Mr. Hites. He is very knowledgeable. He has a wide range of expertise, not only in family law, but in real estate and Estates. Poor losers is what I see in the reviews.

Mr Hites was an excellent attorney representing me during my divorce. He is 100% on your side and will fight for what you want. I see negative ratings and I have to assume it’s from people who lost to him. He is honest and won’t let you fight for something you’re not entitled to. He won’t waste your time and money if it’s not achievable. I highly recommend him.

He is an amazing lawyer! He helped me gain full custody of my son. He cares. He is knowledgeable. He knows how to get it done and looked out for my sons best interest all while educating me. Anytime I call for advice he responds promptly. He is straightforward and has the tenacity of a bull.

I wish there was a Zero rating, because that's what Hites is. He actually Stole Money from a trust account, refused to return calls/emails. Now I am pressing charges against him. I have experienced and agree with every review on this board. He drags out cases, over charges, then Refuses to return your endless calls. Do Not Hire this attorney! He truly is a Thief and a Nightmare!

I felt compelled to write after speaking with someone else who was taken advantage of by this person claiming to be a competent divorce attorney.After offering his services through a mutual friend,Bill dragged out my case , charged me inordinate fees, arranged for the sale of our house ( through a now bankrupt) mortgage company in order to facilitate payment of his and my ex-wife's attorneys fees. Then filed a judgement for the balance after making the entire situation worse...NIGHTMARE

I agree with previous review which claimed that Mr. Hites drags things out to increase his fees. I experienced that as well. I also perceived that he seemed to want to stir things up between my ex-wife's attorney to create more work and add more time for a relatively simple divorce. He also seemed to create extra work for himself which again, added time and subsequently more fees for himself. I do not recommend him.

He dragged on my post matrimonial case for over 2 years and promised that he would be able to get me more money and have my legal fees paid by my ex. None of which happened. In the end I ended up owing him $7,000 in fees. He filed paperwork out of sequence, and sent it to the wrong address and then charged me to correct his own mistakes. He never returned emails and would take some times a week and a half to return phone calls. He was always late for court and in some instances didn't show at all but still charged me for the appearance.

Bill Hites has possession of my settlement and refuses to give it to me. He is a one trick pony who doesn't know law--poses as a divorce lawyer when he is actually a real estate atty. He is all about smoke and mirrors, tricks, and shadow dancing. I was just told that I can actually have him arrested on felony chareges because of this. I am reporting him, in detail to the Bar as soon as I receive my settlement papers in themail.Anyone up for a class action lawsuit??? I am---let's get together on this one---he is brutalizing people!

Does not return calls timely, is not prepared, cancels appointments on the day of meetings. Seems to drag out cases in order to line his own pockets.

I would rate Mr. Hites extremely high in honesty, integrity and knowledge of the law. I was going through a VERY difficult divorce, which among many other things, involved a custody battle for my two children. Being the father, my goal to gain custody of my children proved to be very challenging to say the least. Mr. Hites guided me extremely well through the entire process, which ultimately ended with my children living with me. Mr. Hites is an extremely successful attorney who is also very busy. He doesn't (can't) answer every phone call, but he was always there when I needed him to be. Like most successful people, he is forced to practice crisis management on a daily basis. Also, because he is very honest, his fees are very reasonable. I had two attorneys that I hired to handle my divorce that I ended up firing. Both of them charged less per hour, but Mr. Hites did more for me in one hour than they did in four... so who's REALLY cheaper?! Best Lawyer Ever!

Court assigns him as child advocate, charges ridiculous fee, then never provides assigned duty, input, or follow up. Have concrete evidence to demonstrate no service performed! Don't walk away,run! Hites is valuable like a three dollar bill.

This Lawyer did as he said.Due to his schedule and the Courts schedule and as busy as he is, my expectations were still very satisfied.Mr Hites's MO is unique in that at times you wonder why he does or suggests alternatives,you learn that it is always in your best interest.Highly regarded.
