I have used Dave Wright and his team for multiple needs such as divorce, pre nuptial agreements, sale of property as well as a personal will. There entire office is friendly, easy to work with and will do everything they can for your best interest. Dave has made himself available whenever I have had additional questions, even a year after he assisted with my separation agreement. Even now years after my divorce Dave will ask questions on my current situation and provides insight into actions I should take should anything change. I will continue to use Dave and his team for any of my future needs and recommend him to anyone who is in need of his and his teams services.

If you have a generous legal budget, you feel bitter, you want to piss off your ex & blow-up your family for the long run, then David Wright is your guy. Not cheap but David is really effective at creating conflict, driving up legal costs, not resolving the issues so you reengage him year after year. David has no problem to mis-lead the court or to outright lie to mediators/arbitrators to protect his client’s interests. He will always have your back. David intentionally keeps good relationships with the local arbitrator community and encourages his clients to use arbitration so that he can schedule you in with one of his buddies to arbitrate. You’ll probably win your case and get money back in costs. On the downside, David is less convincing before a Justice and has less success when a Justice will decide. Can’t recommend this guy enough. David simply doesn’t care & will do whatever is needed to win for his clients. Highly recommend.

David & his extremely warm, knowledgeable team were exemplary in dealing with my complicated legal issues, that I have been dealing with for over 24 years. Having fired my previous Lawyers I was left disillusioned. Highly recommended, I met with David for a consultation, was pleased with his solutions. Friendly, professional & articulate in dealing with me. Listened intently & recommended the best way to resolve this issue once & for all. So impressed that he cared as much & was willing to take this difficult task. Most wonderful thing was advising me to handle this case in a cost effective way, since a lot had been financially invested. This lawyer was the absolute worst. My partner and I are redoing our wills because our relationship has changed. I wanted to omit the word SPOUSE from the documents as we are not spouses. I referred to Section 25 in the Wills and Succession Act and said that we had to change the will because was are not SPOUSES anymore. He said "That only refers to MARRIED couples who divorce". I replied that the act states that EX AIPS cannot inherit under the new law EITHER. His reply?OH. Disgusting!!! Didn't even know the law!

I contacted David after 4 years of trying to work things out in a collaborative way with my ex. We had an incredible number of issues to sort through including child support and a very challenging financial split. David was very efficient and thorough throughout the process. We ended up in court once and he won hands down. He is an incredibly skilled speaker in the court room! David was able to bring things to closure in a way that met all my needs. He and his team at Wright Law Office are very professional and extremely proficient. They return phone calls and emails very quickly and are so easy to deal with. I wish I would have known earlier what I read with the other ratings. David is all talk. He claimed I could get more at every turn and convinced me to go for it. Gave me very bad advice with regards to writing my affidavit, and based on comments from the judge, didn't counter the defendants enough. Showed up 10 minutes late for court, unprepared. He was unorganized and didn't know my case at all! The judge ruled with no evidence (which David assured me the defendant would be forced to provide). I sat in court stunned, and felt like a fool. I ended up paying visitation costs to a man who doesn't even see his child. I was given a "discount" on legal fees that I feel should have been half that amount given the amount of work there appeared to have been done on my case. I'm very disappointed, I wish I wouldn't have put myself through this in the first place.

I wish I had the knowledge to read these reviews before hiring David and to know not all experiences with lawyers were this way.. I can relate to all of these terrible ratings sadly enough. Our legal battle with an x-partner was some of the worst times. Dragged on for months. Always felt hopeless and unknown of what to expect. Mr wright would answer questions and gave option as to what could be done but nothing was ever completed. By the end I was writing up all my own affidavits with exhibits only to submit to Mr. Wrights assistance to retype with minor legal terms corrections. I though this would make the difference but David still had no idea about what my affidavits were about and represented me very poorly in court. It was humiliating to watch and just sit back and not be able to do nothing, mostly because I was told this is how it is. He is very manipulative and knows how to bs on his behalf. I paid thousands for terrible legal service and feel so stupid for not knowing better

He had our file dropped in his lap with little notice. And he handled t amazingly. Good advice. Sure he is busy but he is for a reason and performs amazingly well. Would recommend him even having read everything below.

Always too busy with other clients. Never meets any deadlines he proposes. Forgets what was discussed on previous meetings, then you pay for his time to refresh his memory. His expectation is that you gather all the evidence and organize the case then pay him to review, and explain. His billing is always timely, but watch the bills you may be charged for things you haven't seen.

Even after I told them to suspend any activity on my account, and them paid them in full, because I wasnt happy with the service or the billing, they billed me again for another $600. I am scared to call and ask what for..but they'll bill me for that too.

I had requested a will drawn up. I arrived at the office and felt extremely rushed. Mr. Wright could have been knowledgable though I don't know because I received only one word answers. His communication style was abrupt and somewhat condescending, though he was quick! I felt very uncomfortable but went through with the service as I just wanted it done. I will not return again. I still don't have clear answers to my questions but I have a will.

I returned to see Mr. Wright to update my will which he prepared for me five years ago. I was quoted $150 for this service. After making minor changes to my will (adding one more beneficiary to my gift over and changing the name of the organization who would be the recipient of a final disposition) I was changed $400 dollars . Mr. Wright told me that these changes amounted to making a whole new will. I am a single woman with a mortgage living on a disability income and with an incurable cancer. Mr. Wright was well aware of my situation.Had I known that I would be charged the fee for a new will I would have written up my own using a will kit. My estate is very small and my will is very simple. I have no issue with paying for services well rendered and have done so in the past. This was not the case with my experience at Wright Law. I wonder how this man sleeps at night !

Arrogant, conceited, self-serving, and contentious. This guy is overpriced and his only focus is money and does this by seeking conflict with other professional lawyers to rack his bill up and only contributes by further driving a wedge between parties. This guy actively seeks litigation rather than offering amicable negotiations. He talks big but offers little legal traction in return for the money. Do yourself a favor, look for a real professional who knows how to solve problems, not create bigger ones. Did I mention this guy over bills? Realize this, not every lawyer is as greedy as this one is. There are good ones out there.

Agree that at $370 PER HOUR THE LAST THING I WANT TO HEAR IS "What do you wnat me to do". Cares only about the money and is tardy making it to meetings while you pay his time. Very arrogant and provides no value for money.
