I had Mr. Zitney prepare my prenuptial agreement. Although I am a corporate attorneys, I do not work in Family Law. Mr. Zitney was referred to me by several other attorneys as being the only Family Law attorney to go to with such a delicate matter. He was well prepared and everything went smoothly. I would hire him above anyone else when dealing with a Family Law matter. Thank you Mr. Zitney.

In going through the divorce process, Mr. Zitney made me feel at ease. Mr. Zitney not only took the time to return every call, email and answer every question - he made sure to keep me informed of any possible situations. He must be a master at his craft because every situation did come up from opposing counsel - which helped me prepare and remain focused. I was extemely pleased that he was able to let me know, if I had any quesitons or concerns to contact him. I actually did have a question in the middle of a hearing, he stopped to reassure me the normal protocal and that there was nothing to worry about. Thank you Mr. Zitney! Mr. Zitney was great in helping educate me to understand every step and that the Family Court isn't such a big bad monster. I had a very bad experience with this attorney and the Pittullo Barker law firm. They spent a lot of money and did not do very much. Missed deadlines, lack of return calls and inaccurate legal recommendations. I reported Attorney Zitney, Attorney Barker and Attorney Pittullo to the California State Bar. Horrible experience. I had to hire a new attorney to correct all their mistakes. They are all about the money and do not perform.

Let me start by saying that I am a current client of PBA. I initially retained Mr. Pittullo who is an exceptional attorney. Mr. Zitney is a very intelligent attorney and capable of any type of Family Law matter that is brought to him. One of the many aspects that I personally appreciate is that Mr. Zitney has an open line of communication. He will e-mail me on the weekend and return phone calls after regular business hours. Mr. Zitney is not as tenacious as Mr. Pittullo but that is a compliment to Mr. Zittney. Mr. Zitney has created his own style in the court room and is reflective of his professionalism and personality. Mr. Zitney is a Certified Family Law Specialist along with Mr. Pittullo, it was explained to me that this is additional hours needed to attain this certification for Family Law. I would highly recommend Jonathon. He is very knowledgeable in Family Law. He made himself available to address all my questions and concerns. He was compassionate and empathized with my situation. He would go above and beyond what the typical attorney would do. After spending thousands and 3 rescheduled hearing date, I finally gave up and ready to get rid of my lawyer. I was glad a friend recommended Jonathan Zitney. I hired him to write my divorce final judgment. After our initial consult, I can tell right away that Mr. Zitney is NOT a money-hungry lawyer. He is very professional, he understood all my concerns; he answers my emails fast and even covered all areas that I haven’t thought of. Just after a week, I received the draft that he made, and I was literally blown away! It was written in detail and exactly how I wanted it. The opposing counsel made a comment, saying that, Mr. Zitney’s judgment draft is far more superior that the previous attorney’s draft. His secretary Melinda was also amazing. She prepared the forms I need to submit with my final docs. Completed all the forms in less than 24 hrs. I was able to submit all dos in less than a month. Now just waiting for the docs to come back from the courthouse w/ the judge’s signature.

I hired Jonathan Zitney to take over my divorce case from another attorney. Jonathan is a young, very professional, and sharp attorney. The one thing that has won me over time and time again was Jonathan's legal writing style. I always felt he did a great job of listening and understanding my concerns, facts of my case and was was able to articulate them into a well-written legal brief. He was able to stand up in court against other attorneys with many more years of experience. He is extremely bright and is up-to-date on current case law and is willing to do the research necessary. He was consistent with return of phone calls and emails. If I called and left a message, he was very prompt in returning my call. His assistant, Jenn is extremely efficient and very professional. I would highly recommend Jonathan Zitney, Esq. as your family law attorney.

After reading these reviews it is clear that they are written by the same person! get a life. Jonathon may be young but considering the fact that he hasnt even been a lawyer for ten years and has sat on the bench as a judge shows how much he is respected by the courts and other attorneys. People forget that attorneys are only advocates for the law and can only advise you... Jonathan is one of the most honest and sincere attorneys i have ever come across.. he will tell you the truth and will tell you options cost wise so that you know what you are getting yourself into. Although i didnt get the outcome i had hoped for it certainly had nothing to do with jonathon but the judge.. the judge is going to rule whatever they have already decided and in most cases thats even before you get into the court room. I would highly recommend jonathon and his law firm to anyone experiencing family issues. His firm has the most knowledgable and friendly staff and i would not use anyone else.

Inexperienced attorney that I worked with to adjust my simple child support issue. He made things more complicated due to his lack of knowledge. His ego is inflated into thinking he knows what a 15 year attorney or 20 attorney knows. I fired him about 4 weeks into the process after spinning wheels. I later found out through another attorney that I interviewed that she has found working with him to be challenging due to the fact he makes things more complicated. Yes, this is professional hersay, but for me it helped to lift the veil and validated what I experienced. Oveall, the tone of the firm is combative and adversarial to clients and focuses on the negative. Not sure they are aware of it because they are so immersed in it. Certainly better attorney's out there that are more worth the money you spend.

I'm very pleased by John performance as a lawyer. He puts alot of detail in to his work. Not just a lawyer but a friend. Very understanding and a solid person. With the price of lawyers these days good ones don't come cheap , but you pay for what get. He also is very realistic and knows his craft very well. He is young and hungry with great knowledge of your position. I felt very confident going in to court knowning that when my son was taken away from me due his mother choices that I would get him back. He helped to obtain a 50/50 agreement with my 5 year old son.

Best lawyer ever! He is stellar with appeals. Sounds to me like the person from the last review hasn't seen Mr. Zitney in action, or maybe he has and didn't like him because he was on the recieving end of Mr. Zitney.

He appears to be tough when representing clients but it is unfortunate that he is the gofer for corrupt and venal Pittullo, which keeps people away from him.

Do not be deceived by his youth Mr. Zitney is knowledgeable beyond his years. This attoney helped me in my family law case, I was pleased with his ability to represent me. I noticed in his office he had many certifications and now I see why. Mr. Zitney knows exactly what he is doing. I would highly recommend him as an atttorney to anyone in need of one. I was lucky to have him on my side.

Mr. Zitney, sets himself apart from other attorneys by far. He is completely knowledgeable, professional and articulate. He makes one feel comfortable about asking questions. I never had to worry about him not returning my calls. Mr. Zitney is a man of his word, I have already recommended him to a friend looking for a great attorney. While Mr. Zitney may specialize in other areas of law, my husband and I worked with him in a Family Law case. Although young, Mr. Zitney's aptitude and competence are far beyond his few years of practicing law. My husband and I found Mr. Zitney to be very knowledgeable and personable. He competently represented our case and truly advocated for us. His responses were clear, consise, based on law, and fair. We respected the way he argued our case without using slander as a means to win the case, he instead used the facts and laws. He did a great job for us and we would recommend him to anyone as a family law attorney.
