Joan Schulkers appears to be more concerned with billable hours than representing her clients' best interests. In addition to her lack of skill and effectiveness, she is rude, unprofessional, and disliked and not respected by local Judges and court employees. She knows basic procedure, (how to file motions, etc), but he ability to effectively argue a case or advocate for her clients is quite limited. She is not upfront with her clients and their expectations, i.e. if a client wants to argue for something that they have no real chance of getting, she will not advise the client of the cost involved pursuing an unattainable objective. Instead, she will give her clients false hope, and commence billing. Based on her ineffectiveness as counsel, her negative reputation in the Twin Cities legal community, and her lack of grace, I would strongly recommend not retaining Joan Schulkers.

avoid this lawyer.she works borderline unethical and is nostly out of state.phone calls are being eturned sevral days later,she can be rude to you and has incorrect billing practices.also in my case she appeared un prepared to a hearing which costed me lots of money.not willing to communicate
