Spent a couple of months with this lawyer. Supremely self confident, but regrettably not accurate with information. After the third "miscommunication" and wrong info, I found myself another lawyer. The sad part was I initially shared the correct info, only to have her dismiss me and claim otherwise. And yes - the $100 emails were too much. It is too bad her ability did not match her confidence.

after $25,000.and no results forced to start the process over again with a new lawyer. Often 4 emails a day at $50./email from her is one reason the price went so high.This person gives all lawyers a bad name.

Ella was awesome in handling my case. It's been several years, but I continue to recommend her to others. Her job is to get you what you are entitled to, not to be a therapist. I got super value for my money and in my case she was up against a very very difficult opponent.

I am shocked by the reviews for this lawyer. They do not reflect my experience at all. I can honestly say she is one of the best, more experienced and reasonably priced family law lawyers in the city. She was able to negotiate a workable custody and maintenance arrangement, in very difficult circumstances, for me and my children without the necessity of going to court.

As a former client, I have an extremely low opinion of Ms. Bernhard's conduct, strategies, and results. I am very dismayed by the long-term negative financial and emotional consequences of her tactics on me and my children. She lost sight of the big picture in persisting in needless battles.I wish I had hired someone else sooner. I recommend very strongly that you do not work with Ms. Bernhard.

She is a wonderful lawyer who listens and assists you in achieving resolution in very difficult areas. I enjoyed her ability to map out options for me and aid me in decision making. This was the worst time in my life and I feel Ms. Bernhard's compassion and insights made the healing process better - she guided me through 'cleanly'. I believe the nasty opinions on this site were penned by the other party or their lawyer. They should be ashamed.

In my opinion Miss Bernard lacks much in compassion and in standards of professional behavior, and prolongs conflict rather than collaboration, which causes a lot of pain and high costs. I strongly recommend you work with someone other than this difficult person.
