Hello. Remember me? I think you owe my 50 grand plus for lying to me. You never told me the insurance company messaged you back considering putting me back on benefits. Well I got fired the same time you collected over a third in settlement, remember you said i was going to get countersued? remember I told you i didint want to loose my job I wanted back on benefits. Remember i had to call my mom to come down during mediation casue it was under duress. Why didnt u tell me the truth that the insurance company was going to put me back on benefits? I have all the emails Mr. Mattheaos..The money i won was dirty money ,the money you owe me my 50 grand you can reimburse me . I been thinking about getting legal rep to sue you. Lost my 14 year govt job and live in a van now. Thanks alot.

I would never recommend. Quite the opposite. Unprepared and no clue as to the facts needed to represent me. Lied to my face blatantly. Acted so unprofessionally I cannot stress how poorly he behaved. Stay away IMO. Absolutely look elsewhere.

My husband suffered a brain injury due to an aircraft crash. We hired Kirk Wirsig to rectify the denial. He was honest with us, explained his rate, our chances; he took full responsibility in handling our case. We could not accomplish what Kirk did by his expertise and knowledge. We were both incapacitated due to brain injury, my Type 1 diabetes and low vitamin d symptoms. We would never take a law suit on without a professional, the system of law is an impossible task without possessing specific knowledge. Kirk Wirsig was a poor choice when I really needed someone on my side. His work was extremely careless, he made excuses for not even doing the minimum to find out facts or to get the insurance company to respond. He let it drag on while discouraging me without even getting the facts straight. He is unscrupulous and as his client I can say I felt as disrespected and bullied by him as by some of the insurance company people. He pushed me into mediation, very unprepared, when I was already shaken by illness and delays by the insurance company. There were mistakes and missing information in the written claims and he would not bother to correct them. This is an easy way for him to take a third of a settlement without much effort on his part. I would never recommend him especially to someone who is incapacitated by injury or illness.

I heard he has trouble coming for his terrible representation of a TBI client and workplace Benefits denial. The guy was on Life Support, Wirsig states "Not a Disability" but Ill settle for less than backpay". If not "The insurer is going to sue you" Ask him about the case? He should go red.

The team of Mr. Kirk Wirsig and paralegal Shannon are amazing. With mental illness problems including PTSD, I didn't feel I had the strength to fight the disability insurance's denial of my claim. With the recommendation of my psychiatrist I met with Mr. Wirsig for help. They guided me through the process with compassion and extreme expertise! The insurance company was bruital but they fought back with a vengeance but patience, waiting for the timing when the insurance company was obviously ready to settle. After Surviving a plane crash I was referred to HWM to help me. Kirk assisted me with a disability claim that was being challenged by my insurer. If you have a chronic condition, run far away. He serves his own interests only. He did not go to bat for me at all. He was recommended to me by a lawyer for the insurance companies, I can see why they like him so much. Find a courageous advocate for yourself, you deserve better. I wish I had.

A lawyer, but not an advocate. Confirms the stereotype of self-serving arrogant lawyer. He does disability work and I have to say is very condescending and dismissive. Seems his conviction is lacking because the justice system is skewed in favour of insurance companies.
