I had a very bad experience a few years back dealing with this lawyer. He charged me an exorbitant fee not at all in line with the fee structure we had agreed to for what amounted to writing a letter to settle an appeal. And then he threatened to sue me for many more fees if I was to contest the fee.

What a difference an excellent lawyer makes. I was hurt in an accident and had another lawyer, and my case was going nowhere for almost two years. I then hired Todd Plant. Well, let me tell you, the lawyer for the insurance company took notice and changed their tune quick. Within a few months, Mr. Plant got the insurance company to pay me even more than my first lawyer told me the case was worth! Mr. Plant is the only lawyer I would recommend for strong representation and excellent results.

This lawyer did absolutely nothing positive for me during a difficult seperation. Like the other paid client, his communication was almost non-existent for several months of waiting and he got paid well in the end after I suggested the draft under my terms to end my psychological distress.. He made me sign a waiver and charged me for that time.. He was arrogant and after the first meeting ..he did not do much to take me to the next court date.. I just needed that to complete..but he dragged it out.. I assume he was just too busy and bigger things to take care of... I would not reccommend him.. I had very bad luck with lawyers and am very disillusined with the seperation /divorce process.. My long marriage ended in lies and deceit and money being hidden.. Not one lawyer took my 'Ex' to task on his actions.. and I suffered beyond what is considered normal by the terms of Spousal and divorce.. I hope to never ever go this route again in my life..

I hired this lawyer to formalize my separation agreement - told him I was in a hurry to do it quickly. After he received my retainer money the communication stopped - he did not return my emails, voicemails or messages from his assistant. This lawyer did not communicate with me once in four months. I gave him my retainer money and got no results (and no refund). Eventually I got fed up and hired another lawyer who finalized my separation agreement in 2 months. I do not recommend Todd Plant - I paid good money and got no results. He also misrepresented me in a letter (that he neglected to send to me but did manage to send to my ex-husband's lawyer) that made things very difficult at home during an already difficult time. Stay away from this lawyer to avoid disappointment.
