The worst lawyer you can have. Will give you incorrect advice just to get her way. Takes advantage of the ignorance of Women. Withholds documents and communication from you. Does not care how the life of new immigrant women and children facing abuse is affected. She made me agree to an extremely unfavourable agreement that in essence was Unconscionable, gave an undertaking to Opposing Counsel and Withheld my inheritance document despite the agreement. Allowed the opposing party and counsel to abuse the process by asking me for $450,000 in exchange for the Will being held by my ex. The Law Society reinstated her License after suspending it for a short period. Such Lawyers should be disbarred! Her target clients are Women approved for Legal Aid ... BEWARE!!!

She delays dates and has no professionalism to the other party she doesn’t respect the rights of men I would not recommend her she does not pick up calls her fax machine is never working. She is very old school and she should retire than be in the court room. She doesn’t understand family law as she doesn’t have any kids or a spouse. Caution to all MEN she is a women’s rights (extreme right wing person)

This lady goes out of her way for troubled clients that are bombarded with litigation from abusive ex partners. She truly cares in a, system that is so unjust if only there were more lawyers like her.

Ruth Lea Taylor is a lawyer that I wish would go have herself some peace, by retiring. She's out of touch with what obtains in today's litigation. In the family law front, it's not always about winning, but about how to cushion the blow on how to move on in a separation/divorce saga. Ruth is completely deaf to reasonings, very old school and unbending, slow, mostly medically sick, unempathetic and unsympathetic, maybe because she doesn't have either a family or children, so does not know what it feels like to ache in a divorce/separation situation. Refuses compromise, lies and feels like she has to win at all cost even to the detriment of what happens to the children with whom best interest should be considered. I would say if you hear the name Ruth Lea Taylor, please run and don't even look back. She's bad news. She could potentially be a sweet person to have an everyday conversation with, but as regards the family law, Ruth's completely out of touch. She's bad news people & a big NO.

I felt very lucky that I have Ruth represented me.
I am very impressive that she is very experienced and effective also good at representing her client in front of
the Judge. She is also so dedicated to emotionally support her client. She will tell you honestly about your case.
I will recommend Ruth, she really helped me a lot from all the stressful court proceedings.

Ruth was the first voice and help to believe me and help me get my children safely with me. The police did not protect us but Ruth went to court for me and as a result my children and I are thriving today. Free from abuse and intimidation. Thank you Ruth for everything.

She is experienced but very out-of-date in her approach. The divorce and custody is not about the winners and losers but compromise and the best interest of the child. Ruth discourages any communication with other party.

Ruth is not a lawyer I would recommend. She is an old school lawyer that is a throw back to the dark ages of family law where it was a win or lose battle. She refuses to mediate and her modus operandi is to completely destroy the family. She has no regard for the best interests of the child whatsoever. She completely destroyed any relationship there may have been to help us move forward and co-parent our child. She barricades herself in her home office a gated condo so no court papers can be served, her fax machine has been inoperative for 4 years and she refuses to answer phone calls or messages.She has completely destroyed our family and I too will be complaining to the legal society about her.

It strikes me that a lawyer with her experience would demonstrate such lack of integrity, lack of veracity, and side with one party against the other on the basis of pure "hearsay". I will report her to the law society because from an ethical perspective, she does more harm to both parties than help.

She tricked me in my case for $20,000 and still wants me to spend more. But she did not do nothing in the case, could not even speak in front of the judge. She has serious Pneumonia and other multiple sickness. She took my money and left the case for more than half a year without giving me a notice. She could not fight for anyone, she just wants to eat off women's last penny and go cruise with her niece. She is too old for anything, couldn't even speak strong. I wish I have never know her because even myself will make the case easier. She even hid all my document from me to make my case weak!!!! My complaint was entered and granted through the law society!!! I dare to face her in front of the court for what she did to me!!! I even have the witness of the other party who can testify of what she did.

Ruth is fantastic. She goes the extra mile. She helps put things in perspective. She won't let you give away the ranch to save the cows. She provided guidance, professionalism, and her rate was incredibly reasonable.

Ruth represented me for over a year while I tried to protect my child and myself from a dangerous person. The things I appreciated most about Ruth was her patience and understanding for what I was going through. Ruth has unbelieveable integrity and went the extra mile for us everytime.

I also had very messy divorce proceedings which lasted over 5 years. It finally ended with a two week Supreme Court trial in which I was awarded Costs. I would have settled for almost nothing if not for Ruth's persistence.

I had a very messy divorce with many lawyers working on it. Once I got Ruth, my whole situation has changed. She runs out of her home and makes house calls to work on your documentation. She takes that extra mile to help you. She's awesome.
