Click to report rating    2/6/19   4     1     1     1     1   I have been very disappointed with the professionalism and quality of work completed by the Shapiro Firm. Alan has always shown his knowledge of OWCP claims. However, his son whom are Attorney's are RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL and I URGE you to WALK AWAY NOW! Save the heartache and stress. They failed to do their job costing me 10's of thousand, yet still filling their pockets. RID: 208183
Click to report rating    6/4/17   1     1     1     1     1   Terrible "REPRESENTATION". My hearing was a joke! He was not prepared and stated the wrong names during the hearing. RUDE, RUDE, AND RUDE. RID: 185717
Click to report rating    4/10/17   1     1     1     1     1   After seeing some not so stellar reviews, I took a chance and called to get simple information regarding the sloppy paperwork I received in the mail for the Attourney-Client Fee Agreement. Paperwork is confusing and misleading, so I figured I would ask some basic clarifying questions before signing. I spoke with Daniel, and he was probably one of the most unprofessional, rude people I've ever spoken with on the phone. He told me "you can't even imagine the level of disinterest we have in you" and continued to talk down to me and insult my intelligence. I was polite and simply thanked him for his time. I would STRONGLY advise against using this firm. The level of unprofessionalism and rudeness are a joke. Would be interesting to see how a judge would respond to treatment like this. I can't imagine how horrible representation would have been had I signed. Do your research, there is a reason these guys have awful reviews. STAY AWAY! 0/5 stars RID: 183141

Click to report rating    12/19/16   1     1     1     1     1   They may know what they are talking about but I hired them to explain to me the process and all I got was riddles and still have no clue what's going on!! RID: 178188
Click to report rating    8/1/16   5     2     3     4     4   I read a lot of negative comments; but if you don't have the patience, then this is not your route. Yes, it's taken maybe 2 years, but we just now got our Award which seems not what it should be for two arms limbs having worked for military 15 years. Now I am trying to get in touch regarding if we still have a settlement to look forward to since I have been told by that I am indefinitely on light duty for the rest of my life. Well, I will write again if I get good news about a settlement. I do recommend Mr. Alan Shapiro; he is little difficult to get in touch with, but you can't give up. Wish me luck!!! RID: 172431
Click to report rating    11/16/15   4     1     1     1     1   I asked Mr. Alan Shapiro to help with filing my CA-7. He filed it much too soon, I went to see a rating doctor, much too late and finally no appeal was filed. Now I was denied my award, due to no appeal filed and now, I've got to appeal to ECAB and don't know where to start first. RID: 161750
Click to report rating    8/6/15   4     4     3     3     3   I was recommended to him by a co-worker. My case was denied, but reversed before my hearing was scheduled. my on issue is I had to fax my medical info to him, and the foot work. Im back to work and was informed by him that he's applying for my scheduled award. I am a member of federal soup forum and was told to limp away from him as fast as I can, and with the negative feedback that im reading makes me nervous. I signed my life away so we will see what happens, but as of this moment, I have nothing negative to say. RID: 157713
Click to report rating    3/31/14   1     1     1     1     1   Can't talk to the lawyers. Takes at least a month for a phone call. E mails not answered. Very rude they have gone as far as telling me not to be rude but your questions are of no urgency. Don't waste your time with these bottom feeders! ! RID: 134656
Click to report rating    4/14/13   1     1     1     1     1   All this guy is good for is taking a piece of your settlement or scheduled award. And now with his son involved its even worse. They don't follow up or call you back, they won't or can't answer any questions....all they do is take a percentage of your money. Your better off filing for a scheduled award on your own since Shapiro does nothing to help you get anything more than what OWCP tells you for free up front... RID: 107008
Click to report rating    10/22/12   1     1     1     1     1   my experience with this attorney is very much like the other reviews...my claim was accepted for occupational disease..now i am disabled retired postal worker...without compensation from owcp and my medical benefits have stopped with owcp...do you think mr shapiro is paid by dept of labor...any ways, i would not recommend this attorney!!!! this attorney did not inform me of what to expect on my appeals...the last one was so abrupt..geoffrey shapiro told me to follow his lead...the "hearing" lasted a minute..i was still on the line with dol and not aware my attorney had hung up!!!!terrible representation and/or lack of...my advice ... look for a different attorney............... RID: 93557
Click to report rating    7/25/11   3     1     1     1     1   I hired this firm, and was beyond disappointed. The staff does not appear to have any level of competence. Duplicate mailings for documents returned, meetings scheduled that have no agenda, phone calls not returned, e-mail that is not applicable to the claim; one error after another. There must be a better choice of "professional" for representation. Received a mailing to set a telephone conference, set up conference, confirmed the conference, took time off work, and then attorney Alan Shapiro knew nothing of the appointment. Nothing was initiated on my behalf, except an agreement to pay an hourly fee and or percent of settlement. Shop before you sign with these shysters. RID: 49089
