STAY AWAY! Ron is useless. He is incapable of forming an arguement. My wife got a DUI 4 days prior to the court date, and he presented no arguement as to why the judge should grant emergency custody. I confronted him as we were walking the hall, and he behaved like a spoiled child. He the had his assistant call me to come to the office to sign a substitute of attorney. I told her that I didn't request that. She was confused, and said she would get back to me Ron then sent me an email that said if I didn't sign, he would "simply file a motion". If he does, it will be the first and last in my case. I know he is incompetent. I suspect he has a debilitating drug habit. I paid him over 15k and we are still dealing with custody.

I had a very difficult, convoluted case that another lawyer turned down. Mr. Chaplin accepted my case and his tenacity and hard work paid off with me getting custody of my children. I am 100% satisfied..

Ron has absolutely no values. He is a disgusting human being and will use slander and other gross tactics to win instead of hard work and facts. If you are a morally responsible individual with any character at all, stay away from Ron Chaplin. He will charge you hefty fees while making you do most of the work, if he gets back to you at all.

Mr. Chaplin did a tremendous job on my case. When I hired him I had supervised visits with my son because of lies told by my ex. After Mr. Chaplin proved that my ex was a liar I got full custody! Great lawyer!

If you like wasting money, Ron is your guy! Besides many issues and not doing his job the thing that really did not sit with me well was when I called to set up a time that would work with him to have a conversation before a court hearing, this man was late and annoyed with my questions and rushed me off the phone, I PAID HIM. Guys a joke, youre better off going to the casino and putting all your money on black because then, you at least have a 50% chance of doubling, with Ron, its a 100% guaranteed it will go to his drug and alcohol habit.

Ron agreed to a simple divorce that we wanted. We were in agreement so no problems, right? Ron kept billing us for things we did not need and did not agree to. We fired him after paying him a thousand dollars for a filing he did wrong. For $250.00 Avila services took care of everything...all the filings etc. I recommend Avila services over Ron Chaplin anyday.
