I did not find communication adequate and feel they should have anticipated and communicated some potential problems with the deal. They are the experts, not me. I wasn't clear who I was working with and little help given after the fact when issues had to be taken to small claims court.

I will never use this lawyer again! Horrible communication, and very slow at responding to messages. Very disappointed with their services.

The firm ended up providing the closing amount the afternoon before the closing date, and told me I was required to drop off a bank draft the next morning by 10:30am. This did not provide me enough time to request for a draft, leaving me on the hook to pay for additional lawyer fees and penalties for pushing out the closing date.
When another lawyer at Hussein Law (Kari) called to explain, she informed me that adjustment amounts from the seller's lawyer were received just 0.5hr before my signing appointment at 4:30pm. I pointed out that the fax stamp actually indicated 11am, to which she responded, "I was only instructed to tell you so."
Additionally, they did not provide the tenant information at the time of closing for me to collect rent on time, and did not provide a mailbox key. When inquired, they said they will check with the condo corp on the mailbox key, however, this never happened as I was never provided with an answer.

I would give them a zero on communication if that was possible. So far all contact has been initiated by me. Whenever I call them, I get shuffled around and no one seems to know what's going on. They are rude and completely lacking in customer service. I would not use this lawyer again or recommend him to any one I know.

My experience with this law office was terrible. I never actually met the lawyer and the assistant I was dealing with was quite rude. I was a first time home buyer and naturally had a lot of questions. The assistant seemed irritated to have to deal with my inexperience. The day I picked up the keys to my home was the day everything started to go wrong. The law office failed to present my closing package to me at the time that they gave me my key. As such I spent the first 30 days as a new home owner in panic as I kept receiving written notifications from the condo corporation and my lender about failing to provide the legal documentation that proves ownership. When I had my broker contact the law office about the notifications their initial response was that I must have lost my package. It took 2 days for them to admit that they still had my package at their office(as they likely had to find it). I think they are very disorganized and unprofessional.

The staff and all lawyers are very knowledgeable and friendly, I'd gladly recommend them to my own family to use !

Very unhappy with the response following the initial visit. We had a closing date of the 1st, and when I had not heard from the office on the 31st I call to find that they could NOT possible close by that time and wanted to change the date to the 8th which would have meant for us to go back and change the dates with the bank etc. I was never able to speak to Victor Hussein and the office Manager (whom I never spoke to) was very rude and basically informed the receptionist to tell me I was out of luck and to try and find someone else to complete the transaction then. This is what I did. Thanks for nothing.

I wrote the review from 05/26/2016, but since then, my views have completely changed. I provided feedback to Victor Hussein directly, and it was received better than I had expected. He took our concerns very seriously, and even discounted our fees based on our experience. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Definitely will consider him in the future.

Do not return calls or messages in a timely manner. Irritated with questions, and very rude. Sent email with amount owing the same day of the appointment, with no explanation. Which left little to to go to the back. When asked for a breakdown, received a one liner, which offered no insight. I have dealt with the firm in the past, but will not in the future.

I was rudely instructed to only speak to my law clerk for all matters who never responded to my emails to find out the Wednesday before my Friday close that they were no longer with the company. This experience aside, expect long waits when going in to sign your papers. Do expect to hear for months later "your lawyer should have informed you of this" (even though they didn't because they rush their service to get more people through the door).

Terrible service. 2 weeks before closing, the office FAXES a communication to our real estate agent that they cannot represent us because they "are on vacation". When I called the office, the receptionist was rude, and unwilling to help. Don't waste your money, find a better option. Very unsatisfied with this lack of professionalism and lack of concern. Will NOT recommend this law office.

The receptionist is not knowledgeable and has a lot of typos. It was annoying to call her multiple times to clarify what documents etc... were needed. We were transferred from Victor to another lawyer to then to another to close our deal. Overall, very unsatisfied with the service and working of this firm.

As a buyer, I was charged ~$1000 more than what I should for the property tax which was not paid from the previous owner. I have to call a number of times to the office to be able tot get a reply!

Finally!! A lawyer who truly cares... a very down to earth experience. I was treated with respect and my calls were ALWAYS answered. It was a rush deal.. only 5 days but they took it on and impressed me with the ease with which they did it all! I have had 10 real estate transactions over the years, and, have tried other law firms who are big on advertising their firms, but that was all glitter ... Victor's office is the real deal. I KNOW what I have gone through in the past, I wish I had found Victor's office 10 years ago!

Very quick responses by phone and e-mail. His staff are wonderful to work with and very helpful when answering questions. Excellent value - better than any other lawyer in the area. Have used him for two house sales and two house purchases and would never use a different firm. Extremely knowledgeable in real estate law but knows how to explain things well in lamens terms!

I used Victor for a sale and purchase of my home. Overall a pretty good experience. Victors law firm was fairly quick to react to my questions and seemed to be very efficient. Nothing really blew me away from a service perspective but was satisfied with my overall experience. It seemed as though that Victors staff preferred e-mail communication which is okay but would rather talk to someone when I'm waiting for an answer. I would recommend this firm but wouldn't really hesitate to shop around as well.

I have used Victor for 2 house purchases, 2 house sales, my will/POA's and for some other family stuff as well. He has always been very quick and efficient. He has some quarky staff but all in all I will continue to use him for everything in the future.

will never ever use again! Run away - he is good when things are easy and when it gets a little tight on the schedule he fails mizerably. He was supposed to do a refinance for me recently. He accepted the said transaction and then he ditched me the day after the bank sent him the instructions. Originally they were ok to coplete the transaction by June 3rd and now all of the sudden they are booked solid until the end of June. I was left stranded the day after we were originally supposed to close. Now I had to scramble for a lawyer to complete this from scratch asap when mr Husseins office was aware of this transaction for over a month. I am extremely dissapointed, this is just bad business. You don't just ditch clients like that and leave them strapped for cash - shame on you.
