I read the negative comments and believe that they must be about another lawyer because my experience has been incredibly good. Aitan has been responsive and professional throughout my dealings with him in my complex legal matter. True, he is not “cheap” but as with everything else you get what you pay for. He was very honest from our first contact about cost and the importance of gathering all of the facts before charting a strategy to deal with my legal issues. He was extremely knowledgeable in the law and the legal process. He didn’t guarantee results as some other lawyers I met with prior to hiring him did. The best decision I ever made was to follow my instincts and retain him as he did what he set out to do for me keeping me informed at all times and answering all of my questions with patience and clarity. I highly recommend him as an excellent and qualified lawyer.

Worse lawyer we ever had to deal with. Rude, unethical and terrible commuincator. Take on cases outside of his area of practice. Charges high fees with no results, does not have any assistances and will keep your retainer if you try to get rid of him.

Mr. Lerner did absolutely nothing but completely change my view on criminal defence lawyers into the most negative of ways. I had no prior experience with other lawyers and made the mistake in assuming they are all competent and I did not recognize some obvious signs of incompetence when he demonstrated a lack of basic knowledge of acts such as the CDSA which is unacceptable for anyone dealing with drug charges. He somehow made a mistake in making assumptions about my case that were so wrong and contradictory to some very obvious and important facts clearly stated in any disclosure material we had. When I had to point out all the mistakes he was making and made it obvious I was disappointed in his service he did nothing but tell me he does not want to represent me anymore despite getting paid very well and I was left without a lawyer days before a JPT. His service was shocking and please do yourself a favour and just avoid potential disaster with Lerner.

From the very first meet up with Aitan Lerner, I knew I was talking to an experienced professional. He knew exactly how to solve my case without damaging my future. Yes, I was stubborn and the money were a major issues as the case went longer and longer. And granted, I started to lose faith in both the system and myself. But Aitan managed to deliver exceptional results. Aitan was representing me during the entirety of my case and I never had to go to the court. Thus, I only saw him once at the court, but it was enough to convince me of his expertise.

Mr Lerner was great through the whole 4 yr trial. He stated from the beginning what his strategy would be and stuck to it thus having the outcome he explained from the beginning and I was vindicated of all charges. I couldn't say enough about how professional he was during the whole trial keeping me updated on all aspects of the case. I would highly recommend him to anyone facing any types of criminal charges.
