Mr. Lewis prosecuted the Balloon Boy case. A plea was reached after threats of deportation, which he later denied. This case was over-prosecuted,as are most criminal cases in the 8th JD. The end does NOT justify the means, Mr. Lewis.

Andy, as a DA is willing to allow crimes to be committed and not investigate them based on the fact that he does not want to upset the erronious work done by other DA's. Two lawyers reviewed the evidence and stated that a crime had been committed. A former DA with 30 years experience reviewed the same evidence and said a crime had been committed. Andy Lewis without looking at one piece of evidence, was able to determine that no crime had been committed. Andy Lewis is willing to allow criminals to go free without fear, because he does not want to go aginst the work of other people in his office that did not do a proper investigation of the facts in the cases they reviewed and dismissed. This lack of due diligence by Andy Lewis and others in the Larimer County DA's Office, has prevented many people from being able to use the justice system in Larimer County. Andy Lewis should never be considered for advancement.
