Michael Joe has been helpful to me. He has been good about responding and giving advice when I needed it. Mediation has been the best way to go to meet with the bank otherwise the bank would not negotiate. I am thankful for the Pro Bono program or I would have lost my home by now.

I went to Michael Joe over a loan modification. I forwarded all correspondence to him that I was receiving from the mortgage company and was asking over the phone and in emails what was going on. His responses were limited at best. In reality.....he was doing nothing. I lost my house in a foreclosure. The mortgage company never even came to the table with an offer. Michael Joe was doing nothing to secure a loan modification for me. This was devastating to me and my family. He did no follow-up with the mortgage company and just let us slip thru the cracks. He is either too busy or just plain doesn't care. I don't know how he is in other matters, but he was awful with us. In talking with other finance companies, they said he should have been on the phone weekly with the mortgage company trying to secure some type of loan arrangement. This never happened. I know this state is in bad shape with foreclosures, but your attorney should still try.
