Joe went above and beyond for my legal issue. He helped save my career and was a straight shooter. He listened to my concerns and was available 24/7 for any questions I had.

I have been in law enforcement for 16 years. During my career I have worked closely with all types of attorneys. In that time I developed a decent "nose" for identifying good attorneys and bad ones. When I moved to Idaho I was hired by a state agency as an investigator. The time came for me to need representation so I asked around for some recommendations. Of the people I asked within the law enforcement community, Joe was recommended unanimously. As soon as I met Joe, I knew he was my guy. Joe has a passion for and superior knowledge of the law, criminal, employment and otherwise. I have never met anyone wth more talent in the court room. And with well over 1000 hours of court testimony under my belt, that's saying something. Joe and everyone in his office were easy to get a hold of. Joe fought rigorously for me. Joe saw me through everything and I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone I truly care about. Isn't your attorney being busy a good thing?

Asked for his assistance on a legal matter. He was quick and rather flippant on the phone and the office visit was one of the strangest experiences I have ever had. Hyperactive, unorganized, not interested and ironically rather judgmental. I can not say I would recommend him. I am not even certain he understood the issue I had contacted him about and seemed preoccupied.

To the attorney who states that Joe should stop representing Ingrates, you might want to be reminded that those "Ingrates" as you describe are protecting the safety of the community that you live in. In reference to Joe's abilities, he can be a good lawyer if he devotes himself. Too frequently he will make promises to call you back, meet with you etc, but fails to do so. Being a former prosecutor does not automatically qualify you as a good attorney. If you have Joe's ear you might talk to him about communication with his clients. Being actively involved in FOP since its inception in this State this is the number one complaint that is registered at meetings against Joe.

I have worked with Joe since 1988. He is one of the most intelligent lawyers in Idaho and one of the most intelligent people I know. He has an excellent grasp of the area of law he works in. When I read complaints referring to FOP issues, I am concerned that police officers are reacting viscerally to other issues. Joe gets feedback from the FOP. Joe has been committed, over committed in my opinion, to law enforcement officers who do not appreciate him and arrogantly believe they know the law better than the lawyers involved in their cases. When I read the reviews below I wonder if the comments don't simply reflect the narcissistic belief of the writer that their case is the only one Joe should care about or spend his time on. For example, the person who said Joe was highly recommended when he passed the bar ignores that Joe was a prosecutor for 12 years before going into private practice to represent law enforcement officers. I suggest that he stop representing ingrates.

I enlisted Joe Filicetti’s counsel after I had received less than satisfactory results with another local Boise-based attorney.
Joe is thorough, timely, always answers my calls and responds promptly to the issues at hand. He is straight forward, trustworthy, highly intelligent and one of the most competent attorneys you will find.
Joe knows how to represent his clients all the while maintaining personal integrity, empathy, and a sincere drive to obtain the most positive outcome for the client. If you want to be guaranteed to achieve the best possible outcome, I would strongly recommend Joe as he will be in your court (no pun intended). Joe worked extremely hard for me and more than deserves an excellent rating. He is a very professional and impressive man.

Never returns phone calls, fails to respond to written correspondence. Always has an excuse if you are able to locate him. Should be investigated by the Bar for ethical violations. Do not use. Will be disappointed.

He has good knowledge of the laws. When calling he does not return phone calls. If you are lucky enough to get in contact with him, you will likely have him receive another phone call and claim that he will call back, but never does. You have to constantly remind him of dates regarding your case and he likes to file at the last minute rather than being prepared. He takes on more clients that he can handle, and needs to focus on those he has already has on contract. Look for someone else.

Joe starts off good, but then fails to properly communicate with clients. If you leave messages he fails to return calls. If you are at a time line, he has to be reminded. Can be an excellent attorney if he would just respond properly to his clients. Mostly Police related cases and he forgets that his clients have been supportive of his business. Time to wake up Joe
