She cost me thousands and thousands and really should think about this before she ruins lives and makes divorces messier than they need to. I had wanted to go to a divorce accountant and she advised against it. Said it would complicate matters and in fact SHE complicated matters and spun me in circles doing the same thing over and over and over and billing me when it made no sense. I went to a divorce accountant 2 years later now...and it was 100% the think I should've done at the beginning. Now I'm $30K in the hole. I'm in therapy because of my bad, bad, bad experience with Geeta and Sherri. Ridiculous.

After reading LawyerRatingz.com reviews about Geeta, I decided to retain her; this is why I am adding a new rating as I believe a recent experience might help someone. I did not feel supported by her. Tasks were not completed in a way that made sense to the client to keep costs down. For example, rather than directly providing documentation to the actuary evaluating my pension; I was told to pass documentation through Geeta and she would pass it on to the actuary. This extra step made no sense especially since this was a 3rd party neutral being hired and they just required documentation. She was not empathic in the least and not a good listener. Time was taken to do paperwork that made no sense. Like doing another in person intake form, when one was already completed and in front of her. She berated me for bringing in an organized binder of my disclosure telling me I was different and no client had ever done that before. I felt I was working for her and not her for me.

Geeta Bharadia represented me through a rather difficult divorce and her ability to control the situation and keep everyone composed and rational through a difficult mediation process, was exceptional. My ex-husband had legal counsel but everyone clearly looked to Geeta to keep everything moving smoothly. Her professionalism and incredible mediation skills resulted in the best outcome I could have hoped for. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the law and her ability to use the law to my benefit. She was very conscientious with respect to expediting the process and working to finish in a very timely manner, to ensure the legal costs didn't drag on unnecessarily. I have recommended her subsequently and was told how she handled other cases with the same quality of service. I highly recommend Geeta Bharadia.

Lovely, funny, sharp as a tack, easy to talk to, explains the legalese, and sugar coats nothing. Her assistant is just as pleasant to deal with as Geeta. Can't recommend her highly enough if you're in the unfortunate position to be needing a divorce lawyer.
