Ellen is very knowledgeable and experienced, but it was her honest, straight-shooter personality as well as her kindness and compassion that helped make the most of a difficult situation for me. Her services are not inexpensive, but her sensitivity and level of care were worth the expense for me. She was sympathetic to my difficult financial status which is something I greatly appreciated. Her clerk Fatima was also a pleasure to work with. Thank you, Ellen.

Ellen Nightingale is totally unprofessional. She touts herself as being a "compassionate lawyer". She is one of the least compassionate lawyers I have ever dealt with. All she cares about is collecting her fees.

Seems to know her stuff; miffed about not actually going thru a collaborative process which wasn't req'd b/c parties had already agreed; final fees were triple expected (other party's counsel prepared documents), although she did reduce by 17% when challenged.

I retained Ellen's services for a difficult separation with my ex-wife. At the time of writing, Ellen is the chair of the board for collaborative practice lawyers. She really knows her stuff. She has always been extremely prompt with responding to my emails and phone call questions and has been of fantastic help during this process. I'll qualify the value score with a comment that this is the first time I've had to retain a lawyer for a protracted amount of time and have nobody to compare to. She is not a cheap lawyer, but she is very very good. I don't want people to think this is a shill review. She is very professional, and helpful. I was recommended her by my coworker - his exwife retained Ellen, and I would also recommend her to anyone.

Ellen was very helpful and made a crappy situation much easier to cope with. She was very accommodating and willing to meet me whenever and wherever to be flexible due to my situation. The most important thing to me which I was absolutely clear with Ellen from our very first meeting was obtained. I am forever grateful for the compassion that she showed and the professionalism she portrayed. I felt like my options were set in front of me and that once a decision was made she supported me with them and we were able to have open and honest discussions about my choices. I would recommend her to anyone that is in my situation. She understood my urgency to get a resolution and did the best she could do to speed things up given an uncooperative other party. Collaborative Practice is a very tricky method. Once you sign up for it, there is no guarantee of the outcome and you could end up where you started aftrer spending tens of thousands of $ and still have to go through another set of lawyers. Ellen is very expensive and driven by $$$$. I found her unprofessional at times and also she is not good with numbers. I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone.
