Very nice man helped me when I needed it and never charged me a cent . I see people on here talking badly about him but maybe they shouldn’t have broken the law to begin with . They just don’t arrest you for nothing , but the internet is full of people blaming others for their own nonsense.

I had this lawyer; he is great if you never want to see your lawyer in court or receive a phone call from him...he will demand cash and a legal aid certificate do nothing on the file and leave you hanging its about the money not the client please retire you suck

i had this lawyer yes your right he took cash and billed legal aid i am going to bet he didnt report the cash to legal aid. I asked for a copy of the legal aid account his assistant Amber refused I am still waiting I was left in custody for months never saw the guy he barely showed in court his Assistant wouldn't answer the phone NEVER EVER USE THIS GUY HE SHOULD LOSE HIS LICENCE

Mr Charles spettigue left me in custody for 7 months awaiting trial. He told me to just get some good time in. I was a bystander to the incident for the crime to which I was accused. Mr Spettigue rarely ever graced our presence at court appearances, to the point that the judge actually asked me if I had a lawyer (this being the fifth consecutive absence of Mr Spettigue) the judge made a court order that he appear at the next date he issued me. Then if you know the legal aid system a lawyer is not allowed to accept cash as well as collect legal aid payments. Mr spettigue also did this to me. Receiving $700 cash as well as collecting all the legal aid money for dates he wasn't even in attendance. So I was found guilty of a lesser charge and handed 7 months time served (possession of marihuana). Long story short "IF YOU GET ARRESTED FOR SOMETHING YOU DIDN'T DO, DON'T GET SPETTIGUE.

Charles is a high profile lawyer with a passion for keeping cops in line. He helped me out with a case last Spring and reached a VERY favorable outcome because of the work he did. This was not a simple case and he put the time in to win the case. He's also available if you need to reach him (yes, he IS busy at times) and spends the time to keep clients happy. If you are serious about your case then he is serious too-- don't come to him expecting to do nothing and get a good result. Definitely recommend him to anyone interested

Horrible lawyer! I would not recommend this guy to noBODY! He nor his assistant won't ever return phone calls. It's been 4 months and I've still yet to hear from him. He hasn't called me to notify me that I have court dates therefore I haven't been showing up and I've now had two bench warrants bc this guy doesn't show up or keep in touch with his clients to let them know about their court dates. I don't know why he is still a lawyer but his license should be taken. Innocent people go to lawyers for help yet they are stuck dealing with someone who could care less about your case. It's bad enough innocent people have to deal with courts and the waiting process to finish a case. To top it off you have a bad lawyer. It REALLY sucks. Charles I hope you're reading this buddy bc you are one bad lawyer!! You or Stephanie should answer calls to your clients or clear your message box so clients can at least leave voicemails. Better yet.. JUST RETIRE!!

Caught on a possession charge, I turned to Charles Spettigue for help. He was very helpful, knew everything and explained everything I needed to know. I got off with community service and no record. I didn't actually hire Charles (he suggested I wait until after my first appearance, instead of just taking my money), but even though I never payed him he still went above and beyond to help me out. Two separate consultations and he walked me through the diversion process when I ran into him at the courthouse, just because he was a nice guy. Highly recommended.

I feel very fortunate to have had Mr. Spettigue as my lawyer. He helped me to resolve my case with a result which positively surprised me. I got away with jail time without fine or community hours! He is a busy lawyer and is not ALWAYS available to answer the phone but I can understand that good, busy lawyers are limited to their time and I would rather choose a good and busy lawyer than the opposite. I absolutely recommend Mr. Spettigue!

I cant help but wonder about all the comments he has removed. This would indicate what kind of lawyer this is if he removes the comments about him he doens't like. This guy never showed up in court for me, didnt show up at a trial date, got me convicted becasue he didnt show then ignored me when I got notice of it. He nev er told me my trial date so i didnt show. I hired a Paralegal to undo the damage this LAWYER did and got my charges withdrawn and all fines by a Paralegal but I had to pay twice firstto the Lawyer who never showed up then got me convicted then to a PARALEGAL who did her job showede up dealth with it and got it withdrawn including the conviction the LAwyer got me due to his failures.. NEVER EVER USE THIS GUY

one of the best out there. I had charges in two sepaate jurisdictions which were very serious. He showed the cops to be the liars in court.They got caught lying when he crossed them.. All my charges were withdrawn. Excellent lawyer

I was a client of Charles Spettigue. I am in the process of looking for a lawyer for a case that he worked on for me. Obviously by me saying that the outcome did not go very well. Mr. Spettigue and his staff treated my matter with such blatent disregard that I ended up going to jail as Mr. Spettigue was not prepared at all. The confidentiality of my matter I have recently found was discussed by his office to various people that are not even in any professional field. I would never use their services nor would I recommend them to anyone. If you want to win your case please ensure that you go to someone that knows what they are doing. His staff are no better. If I could go back in time I would never have used them. Please take your legal aid money and find another lawyer. It is all about the money with them. They are unprofessional and lack the confientiality that I am sure that people would like that are going through hard times. They suck you in then spit you out like you are nothing.
