Run, do not walk, RUN from Melody. Honestly. All of the reviews are true. She is the worst lawyer you can hire, especially when you’re going through something that’s traumatic. Being a family lawyer for 20-some years does not put you on a pedestal, Melody. People come to you because they need help and guidance through these cases. That’s what your paid to do! Not the b/s that you bill us out the a$$ for.

Melody loubert is a collection agency not a lawyer. All she did is bill and collect money. Avoid her if you’re going through such a difficult thing as divorce.

First of all She goes by Melody MacDonell now. Secondly, there is no easy way to put this, but just about every negative that you have read hear is 100% accurate. I totally agree with one of the first comments: if you are reading this, it’s because you are starting to have doubts regarding her practice. If this is the case, then you are too late my friend. By now, you are at least $5000 in the hole, and have absolutely nothing to show for it. She is as cold as advertised. Do not expect any sympathy from her. She will eat you alive and spit out your eyeballs. CUT YOUR LOSSES NOW! Is you care about your kids get a better lawyer ASAP. You won’t be able to pay child support when you ow her $15,000 2 monyhs from now. Good luck...

I wish I had done my research and looked at this site. After 4 months with Melody and over $4,000.00 and no forward movement I moved onto a new lawyer. Coming out of a domestic violent marriage it is no exaggeration to say I felt emotionally and mentally re-victimized again and again even through a simple email with Melody. Many times questioning my own sanity. Talk about scary. Unapproachable and cold. A good counselor helped me get the courage I needed to leave this intimidating situation.Ironic that I had just left an abusive spouse and walked right into this. I thought because she seemed tough when I met her she would fight for me. I am sincerely very sad for her. Don't take my word.Do your research on this sight but also ask around. Especially if you are coming from domestic violence. I discovered there are compassionate, patient and approachable lawyers who fight for you.

Melody Loubert cares about her clients and knows pretty how to get the best deal. I've read some of her reviews and the bad ones are wrong, and may be just bitter losers. She has helped so many of my friends and family. Too bad there are trolls out there trying to cut down and great person.

Worst lawyer ever. In my four years old case I went through several lawyers. She is by far the worst. She sent me a bill for $5000 for scanning my documents. her assistance who charges $175 per hour scanned my documents. Don't go near her

Melody Loubert is a terrible lawyer! She is very expensive, she does not care about you or your case, she is arrogant and pretends she has it all wrapped up (but she loses in court.) If you make the mistake of telling her you don't have much money, she will take your very last penny if she can. If you are in any kind of emotional distress, DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER. She will make your initial misery feel like a walk in the park because she is as cold as a stone. You'll think she's competent until she has a few thousand of your dollars gobbled up and no results to show for it. In all honesty, you are probably here because you have already hired her and are beginning to realise something is "off". My suggestion is to get out quick before even more damage is done (and there WILL BE more). The Law Society has no documented record of her wrongdoings (they should), so go figure who they protect. Believe these bad ratings here, I can't stress it enough. She left me penniless.

Seriously - did she pass the bar exam? The only thing more incredible than her incompetence is her bullying aggressive attitude towards her own clients. I got out after wasting $3500; a complete waste of time and effort. The worst part was my ex laughed so hard at this pathetic lawyer I had hired (then fired)!

Melody came highly recommended to me, so I ignored all the comments on this site and went with her.Unfortunately, the reality was different.I was being charged for literally every minute she spent on me, e.g. emails she or her assistant writes back to me (e.g. 5 minutes for an email for example). This might be normal, but I couldn't afford it. She got too expensive and nothing was happening with my case,so I switched lawyers. In the last receipt, she charged me 9.98$ for the usb that she put my documents on. Her communication style is very rigid and that might be great in court but interpersonal skills with the client are also very important, at least to me client service/customer service is extremely important, especially when going through a terrible time already getting a divorce. After I switched, I was told that I was misinformed about 2 important aspects to my case. The reviews on here are mostly not good for a reason. I do not recommend her for divorce cases.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. I don't know why my initial review was deleted. I also wonder who she's paying to post positive reviews about her because there's nothing positive about Melody Loubert. This woman is a greedy careless cold evil species. Trust me, you are better off representing yourself than hiring her. She took every last penny I had, $12,000 and did nothing for me. If I questioned her billing, she would throw a hissy fit like a 2 year old. She never has time to talk. She double bills you for her mistakes. She made me sign an agreement that was NOT in my favour AND, get this, she loses it. I tried to get my money back but she changed law firms. Have you ever tried getting your money back from a lawyer? Don't bother. Save yourself a lot of money and headache and don't hire her. How she sleeps at night is beyond me. I hope Karma bites her in the ass until her last breath.

I had a bad experience with this lawyer, i had a co habitation agreement reviewed and it cost me over $ 4000.00.She was rude, arrogant and did not want to spend anytime with me, she just wanted my money... i would not recommend her to anyone.

I hired her, spent over $13K. Fastest way to throw out money, with absolutely no result! Arrogant, unresponsive and rude. Details: 1) She refuses to talk by phone. Did not speak on phone once or respond to any calls in 6 months. 2) HUGE communication issues through email and if you ask 3 questions in email, she will leave 1 unanswered, leaving you to think "should I email her again?" ($20/email sent or received) 3) She works alone, tells you to "trust" her. BS! 4) Almost all her emails she threatened to stop working (as if I was late on any payment!) 5) I hired her for SPECIFIC reasons during my matrimonial divorce case, and during the settlement conf, she absolutely ignored them, and I kept poking her to talk to judge about them.. she said "not now.. later" (plan?) but after conf was over, she simply says "ya you have to pay those!". At this point I fired her and got another lawyer who communicated much better, costed much less, and got EXACTLY what I want! Melody simply did not care!

Worst lawyer imaginable. Arrogant, super greedy, poor communicator,,,plays games hoping to bilk more money out of client with miscommunication. We gave up on her half way through a simple child custody case and settled by representing ourselves. She still wouldn't give my wife the paperwork needed even once we paid her in full. (over 5,000.00) and she wanted another un-mentioned 4000.00 once we were half way through... This was a very straight forward single child custody case,,, my wife represented herself and did wonderfully. Habeus Corpus.
