However, if you are looking for a law firm to help you instead of the opposing party, then you want to find a different law firm!
If you are looking for a law firm with some sort of humanity, then you definitely should find anyone else other than Marcus Family Law!

I was referred to the Marcus Family Law Center by a friend with very little time to act and prevent a huge problem. Without missing a beat they identified the short and long term goals and tackled each challenge head-on with great success. I was left with the difficult task of telling them what those goals were and they provided me options and made it happen. Their efforts allowed me to continue working and caring for my kids without the worry of the legal system and what to do next or what to expect. Meeting in their offices is relaxed and informal. I have had the pleasure and honor of having Mr. Ethan Marcus represent me in my divorce. My case was the first same sex divorce/ domestic partners case in Imperial County. You will not find another lawyer in the San Diego area that is more knowledgable about and sensitive to the needs of the protective parent. The team at MFLC really did a great job. I felt like they were personally invested in my case. I ended up with more custody than I'd had initially. I have no problem recommending them to anyone who needs an attorney to represent them in Family Court. (Retain them before the other side does)

Marcus made my divorce a lot less painful and minimized the drama associated with it. Ultimate professionalism. He is certainly one of the best in his field. Ethan is a nice caring gentleman.He is professional,honest and fair.For my case he spent quality time w/ his team,particularly during the court hearing. In my case, Attorney Marcus made many mistakes, several serious. In addition, he over charged for the mistakes made by his staff and then later apologized, saying they were new and in training, and removed some of the charges. As a consequence of the last major error, he offered to removed charges but after the case was closed, only removed half, and then refused to say why he was not keeping his word re refunds. He threatened me. He said that unless I physically came into his office to meet with him, he would charge me the full amount, even thought he had already cut half the charges in writing. In addition, he refused to give me back my legal files, refused to discuss the billing via email, and was very hostile and unprofessional. On top of that, his mistakes cost me months of court time and thousands of dollars. If you work with Attorney Ethan Marcus, make sure you get every thing in writing. Don't believe his estimates and watch him like a hawk. He is understaffed and over-worked
