Pierre Despatis, a lawyer for the Barreau Du Quebec's Syndic, failed to have my file released from a lawyer who had withdraw from one of my cases. I've requested that the file be release in two separate occasions, since my ex-lawyer refused to do so even though trial dates were fixed for the near future. Hence, I sued him in Small Claims Court. I am presently waiting for a hearing. What is Me Despatis's defence? He claims that he never received my requests! I have the proof that I did send him the requests. Did he not perjure himself? It seems that lawyers in Quebec are the only ones that could commit perjury with impunity.
