Mr Lutz was appointed through Legal Aide to represent my confused & scared son when he got into trouble. Jim made sure my son understood the charges, possible outcomes & his options (Not an easy task with an emotionally charged client, I am sure) While had been previously advised that looking at a 3 year min sentence, we were VERY happy with the defense settlement negotiated with the crown to ensure that wasn't the case. While I was not the client, Mr Lutz still took the time to understand my position & treat me with the same respect he showed my son. I highly recommend him.

Came highly recommended and does extremely valuable work. I have have tried to send many clients his way. He does have problems with this front end staff and as a professional HR person, it is a real problem with contacting and using his services. He is very quick spoken and you need to practice positive listening skills due to his communication style. In sitting in the court house I have heard other lawyers making positive comments when he has not been present. If you can deal with the staff issue and his communicaiton style, you can be assured of very high quality work from a very qualified person. This is a man that you can trust. This guy pulled a rabbit out of the hat for us! Unfortunately we can't give specifics regarding the case and it wasn't cheap; but we are MORE then happy with the defense settlement he negotiated with the crown. Would go back to him in a heart beat.

I've observed him before, he's a great lawyer who tries to get the best situation for his defendants. Some may think they can fight cases, but Lutz knows that even a guilty plea can be more beneficial to the defendant then trying to fight back. He knows how the system is run
