Do not use him for estate work. Ended up being 5x the original quoted cost. Attempted to play family members off against each other. His assistant lost the probate documents. Other errors that a layperson should not have had to correct for him. Avoid.

15 years ago, Mr. Soloway took me on as a client when I was so poor I was accessing legal aid. I was a single parent fighting for custody of my children from an abusive ex-husband who was a smooth operator and lied very well. When he and his new wife came and began their Oscar performances, Mr. Soloway quickly and decisively tore their stories to pieces and revealed them for what they were. He was an excellent lawyer who knew exactly how to proceed and did not hesitate to fight with great tenacity for me and my children despite the fact that I had no money to offer. For me, he is well remembered as the man who saved my children from what would likely have been unending trauma. If you ever happen to read this, thank you, Mr. Soloway.

Although he seems well versed regarding the law and presented himself as being assertive, he does not proceed until pushed. He was not thorough in his approach and left facts out expecting to be asked for them, resulting in very poor results. Things drag on much longer than needed incurring large costs. I would not recommend him for use in children's affairs.

Direct and to the point. Will NOT waste your time or your money. Personable, and actually appears to care about your situation. It is like having a well educated friend go to bat for you.. he is GREAT!

he is an excellent lawyer. he was willing to make a complaint himself to the law society on another lawyer on my behalf for unethical behaviour and he also put in a letter to the chief justic of appeals on a bill of costs that should of never been accepted by the court registry in the first place. Very knowlegable and assertive for clients rights. Has guts. recommend him highly to anyone.
