I have worked with Isabel on family law files and she has always been pleasant to work with. Family law matters can involve a lot of conflict and stress. She was open to exploring ways to better resolve conflict. She has a calm voice and does her best to support her client to reach a resolution. I could tell that she really cares about her clients. And she knows her stuff—she is knowledgeable and thorough on the legal side of things.

I was a senior trial lawyer practice in Shanghai before I was forced exile into Canada in May 2005. Fortunately, I have Isabel as my lawyer for my application for the political refugee status. I also used to work as this lawyer's Paralegal, and I found her to be a very competent, very knowledgeable, and very compassionate lawyer. She is very thorough in the work that she does, because she cares about her clients. I worked for Isabel for two years and not only was she my boss, she also became a great friend. She took the time to listen to people, which is not always common in Family Law, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing her services in the future.

I used to work as her assistant. She helped drive me into a breakdown. She created way more paperwork than was necessary which created an insane and impossible workload. As well, our clients were billed for all this work. It was the worst couple of years of my career.
