2/1/16   1     1     1     1     1   After my reduction in child supper from almost $1200 to only $700, my son's father said to me, Homer was never your lawyer, he was always mine!" Homer made me sign the new order under threat that he would charge me another $1400 after already paying him $5500 deposit and another $2500 during the case. He then help my personal files hostage for another $1 per page (about $500) until I called the Florida Bar and filed a complaint. If you want details,Google me, I'm not hard to find. Kobe Ellis, Jacksonville. I wouldn't hire Homer Bliss to walk my dog. RID: 164708

Not representing client’s best interest in regards to the mediation agreement concerning a Tax Amendment. If our daughter had signed the amended mediation agreement requiring her to file jointly her income taxes, she could have been responsible for $37,000. Mr. Bliss did not seemed concerned about the ramifications of this change to the document. After much discussion, the family persuaded our daughter not to accept the amendment. Not conferring with Quigley House Counselor about the mental abuse issue. Our daughter had been a patient for over a year. Due to many events that had occurred during the time of the divorce, Mr. Bliss was aware of the extreme concern the family had for the safety of the children. This awareness may have been a factor in the excessive retainer. Mr. Bliss was aware that the parent’s paid the retainer by taking out a home equity loan. RID: 89473
