he started going for beers with my ex husband discussing the case. Told him he would win against myself because of the way I represent myself compared to him. He took on my ex husbands brother as a client during this time too. Joke was on me after retaining him for 3 years. Compete jerk, unbelievable waste of time and money.

The man's an absolute genius. My venomous drugged- up wife was seeking 100% custody of our daughter. At my first consultation with Steven, he was able to predict exactly how everything would play out....and he was 100% correct. Highly skilled litigator with experience on his side resulted in a happy, healthy daughter LIVING WITH HER DADDY! Thanks Steven!!

Worst lawyer ever. I hired him because of his seniority, but I made a terrible mistake. He never communicated with me, and he wasted my money by giving me improper advice which I relied on. Unfortunately, the other negative comments posted here are consistent with my experience.

Steven is experienced and professional. He has an amazing ability to grasp complex and difficult situations. Was always well prepared and extremely knowledgeable. Tough negotiator but did not escalate. Brought case to mediated settlement and avoided a long costly trial. Interviewed many lawyers before hiring this one. He is an expert in family law and was the most qualified choice to protect my interests. If you need the best, then this is the lawyer I recommend.

Does not return phone calls or emails. Seems disinterested and unmotivated - so your case gets dragged on and on. If you want to get things done in a timely manner, this is not the lawyer for you.

Steven is a good lawyer who knows how to deal with high conflict situations. He helped me get custody of my child, which is worth more than anything, in a situation that had no hope otherwise.

Probably the single worst experience. Ignores repeated phone calls regarding important aspects of case. Has no respect for your time. Often shows up to court unprepared.Gives conflicting advice. Very unprofessional. I could not give a single reason to recommend him.

Like most lawyers, wants to drag things out and increase billable hours. Provides zero communication, NEVER returns calls or emails, doesn't prepare himself or you and does a very poor job of explaining legal matters, possible outcomes and consequences. Doesn't provide relevant materials and communications from opposition and simply doesn't care. I would not recommend and advise to choose another source of council

It was a pleasure dealing with Steven and his staff during a difficult family dispute. He is very quick, fair minded and capable at solving complex issues. I don't place much value in any process where individuals make anonymous ratings, but to the extent any of you do, you'll quickly recognize just how good a lawyer he is and how the negative ratings set out below are from opposing parties who no doubt were unhappy to come up against him.

You'll pay and pay for his distracted time and then pay again near the end. The other negative review are clearly from an opposing party as no one scores a perfect zero. I have a lot of experience with a variety of legal advisors and Steven is pretty low on the overall scale. Slow to respond. Lacks motivation to get it done. Seems to drag things out longer than needed. Better luck elsewhere.

Steven is a complete pleasure to deal with. We have dealt with 2 lawyers in the past and neither came close. He gets it, is to the point and Rhiannon is always available if Steven is not.I whish I had met him 10 years ago. Money well spent.

I agree with the last comment that the negative comment left was an personal attack on Steven. No lawyer is perfect and most are busy and not always able to return calls as prompt as one would like.When push comes to shove though Steven is there and 100% available. He has always been professional in our presence and we would recommend him.

Very surprised to read comments regarding this lawyer. Have been client for 12 months and highly impressed by professionalism and solid results. Excellent value. Absolute top gun. True it is at times difficult to reach him on the telephone, however office staff are superb and deal with all concerns in prompt and meaningful fashion. Who wants a lawyer that is not busy?! Seriously complicated legal situation regarding custody and access untangled and dealt with in fair manner. Previous comments strike me as personal attack by someone on the losing end. Strongly suggest this firm if you want to be on winning end. Am professional woman who has had 3 lawyers (one retired, second took sabbatical.) Wish I would have had Steven Mansfield from day one. Would highly recommend.
