This was the worst experience I have ever had with any lawyer. Lonny has a "God-Complex" Ego and thinks he has a K.C. Law designation that exempts him from all his mishaps and poor quality of service. He is nothing but an Ambulance chaser in Family Law. He engages in unnecessary emails and activities to continue charging you money. It's all about the money for him and his hourly rate is over-priced for the quality of work and his experience. I would greatly recommend that you avoid this lawyer for your wallet and the quality of service.

My experience with LB was poor. After several months of getting nowhere I fired him and found a new lawyer. He has an air of arrogance and does not have the legal chops to support his ‘I’m all that’ attitude. Don’t recommend him.

Hire this guy! Seriously, wish I would’ve hired him sooner after my friend recommended him...would’ve saved me a lot of stress, money and headaches. After 8 mths of collaborative, I hired Lonny and went the med/arb route and finished within two months. My biggest appreciation comes from him looking out for my children and always making sure their needs were top priority. After dealing with another lawyer and that lawyer not remembering many details of my case it was very appreciated how Lonny remembered all of the details of my case each time I talked to him. He helped make the divorce process way less stressful because he was always on top of my case which eased my stress load tons. He has an amazing team that works together on your case. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Lonny's experience sets him above any other lawyer I spoke to. He handled my situation as quickly as possible and did so without aggravating the other side. I am thankful to have him represent me and my family throughout our difficult situation.

If you are someone with no integrity or ethics, Mr Balbi is the perfect lawyer! He supports his clients in overt lies and indeed participates in them, including creating false scenarios in order to create equally false tax credits. He does not care about doing irreparable damage to families or endangering the mental well-being of children. The recent Minnesota teen who has filed a suit against professionals including lawyers for civil rights deprivation after they conspired to deprive her of her relationship with one of her parents would be a needed message to lawyers who do not put children and families first. Indeed I hope this becomes a class-action suit. Other countries have educated themselves on high-conflict divorce games. It is time for Canadian family law to up its game and demand accountability from all involved in disputes regarding children and access, including Mr Balbi who desperately needs to re-educate himself!

I was nervous went I first went to Lonny Balbi. His staff put me right at ease. Mr. Balbi was very forthright and knowledgeable. He helped me get through a difficult and stressful divorce, always showing compassion and understanding. His expertise saved me thousands. I am so grateful for Lonny Balbi.

I agree with a previous comment that Lonny Balbi is not only an egomaniac but an ambulance chaser. He is out for himself and inspite of his banter about doing what is right for you, the kids, etc., he is out to win for himself at any cost. The entire problem with family law is that unethical people like Lonny Balbi make more money the longer the conflict continues.

I went to see Lonny Balbi to seek advice on my marital separation, based on a referral from a friend. My expectations were exceeded once I met him. He took the time to really understand the nuances of my specific situation, explained to me all of the different legal scenarios and options I had, gave me absolutely invaluable advice and perspective that I really needed in an emotional time in my life. He was clear, concise, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made me feel like he really cared about me and my best interests. I learned so much from him just in our initial meeting and left feeling confident and supported. He was open and honest with me about the different legal avenues my situation could take, and up front about the increasing costs associated with the different steps. Based on my situation, he recommended a less expensive option - he gave me the right option, not the one that made him the most money and I truly appreciated that. I highly recommend Lonny.

Lonny is an exceptional lawyer. I saw him on TV several times and, recently, when I needed help with the end of a relationship, I went to him. At a time when I felt overwhelmed and a complete loss of control, Lonny gave me clear information on how to get my life back. He took all of the confusion out of the situation and his direction was perfect. I cannot thank him enough for his help. Excellent job!

My experience with Mr Balbi was a dissapointing one to say the least. I felt like he was going through staged and cookie cutter motions instead of understanding and caring about my situation. When I asked him about his processes and the subsequent results (which were not entirely negative) I felt like I was being talked down to and demeaned. Overall I experienced horrible value for my money and would not personally recommend Lonny Balbi.

Lonny Balbi is the equivalent of an ambulance chaser in Family law. He will exploit a sime case to line his pockets. He is a narcissistic egomaniac with very little regard for his clients. He will do last minute lawyer rituals and then charge an arm as a leg. In addition he lies in court and spouts off randomly with little or no proof or justification. Winging it at best. In family law children are first in Balbi law Lonny Balbi is first!! A true piece of excrement !!!

Mr. Balbi has a reputation for being a knowledgeable lawyer. I hired him to represent me in a custody case. He was not prepared. His attitude was very casual and showed no concern for the seriousness of the case. When he was representing me I spent more than $40,000 and he accomplished nothing. I fired him and hired some one else to undo the mess caused by Balbi. Within 3 months I had a proper Parenting Order that was in my favour. I would not reccommend him to anyone.

Horrible experience! If you don't have a million dollars he won't work for you. He charges for time not even spent on the file and will drag out your case as long as he can. I finally found someone else to help and after 3 yrs and tens of thousands of dollars, got my divorce settled for a cost under 5k. He also misinformed me as to what was rightfully mine from the marriage. I finally got what I deserved once I moved up and fired him! Stay away!!
