stacie was the best public defender i have ever had. she treated me with respect and dignity, she believed what i told her and i told her the truth. although she was very busy she kept in touch with me returning every call and kept me well informed of what was going on with my case. although it was my fourth strike, even though i was innocent, the d.a. wanted to charge me with habitual and threatened me with 24 yrs. over a pack of lies, she stuck up for me and was ready to go to trial but it was my decision to plea the case out and she worked hard to make sure the judge knew the circumstances of my case and why i agreed to plea out. when the d.a. and the judge wanted to send me to comcor for 2 yrs she spoke up for me so well that the judge gave me only 2 yrs probation. even though i am innocent and the case should have been dropped she fought hard for me in what is infamously a corrupt and harsh judicial system. she turned what could have landed me in prison to the lightest sentance
