Monica Scholtz will drain your bank account and drag your case on for years. She leads you down a winding journey of chaos where there is never a actual success moment of moving forward, only delays and always needing more information. She will threaten to ditch you as a client if you disagree with her suggestions. Then sends you endless emails of how she is a lawyer for years, and charges you for her explained emails that are several pages long to prove her ego. She is a bully. She will send you emails late at night (after 10:00 pm) so you can't settle your mind. What really shocked me was the love and hugs comments through email I received late at night. Drugs, Alcohol? Do not use this lawyer if you wish for peace in your life, a relationship with your children, and money in your bank account. There is so much more... The limit is only 1000 words. However, on a good vibe, I did have amazing success through another lawyer with a faction of the cost and time that Monica charged.

After settling with another lawyer me, I had to write this review. Monica Scholz is a horrible and sick person. She is never prepared while her ego and anger issues effect your case. She ....as many have said ...is a money grabber. Once the money is gone ..... so is she. And she will sue you. I feel sorry for her staff. They have to lie for her incompetence and bill gouging. Monica has no ones interest in mind except her own pocket and ego. If she put as much energy into her clients as her billing process she might be a 1/5. Judges and Lawyers all show limited respect for her. My setting lawyer said “ I’m so sorry your have been Monica Scholzed”. A common term for how she takes advantage of her clients. remember this.... if you choose her , please remember my words in a year from now when your life is more of a mess than when you started. I truly hope she never has another client to abuse. I’m not righting this out of anger. I’m writing this to alert any of her victims.Be careful!

My ex is a diagnosed narcissist. When we separated, it was difficult for me to resist responding in kind to her horrible litigation tactics. Initially I did and it cost a lot in legal fees. My ex wanted shared custody just because she didn’t want to pay child support. I then switched lawyers and retained Monica. With Monica’s thoughtful, experienced guidance I refused to get “into the sandbox” with my ex. The judge appreciated my efforts as directed by Monica and granted me primary residence of my children. We are now all doing well and my ex even undertook the therapy that Monica suggested to the judge. I cannot imagine where my children and I would be if I didn’t take Monica’s advice. Monica salvaged my family and I am forever grateful.

She came highly recommended. She led me down the garden path, while a runaway train went through my entire pension (10’s of thousands), leaving me broke. Then she asked for $19k on the afternoon of the last day to file before court. She dropped me via email immediately, without giving me a chance to speak. So I went to court alone without even Duty Counsel available, and the judge went ahead and decided the case against me! Moral is...do not use her. She is not your “friend”. She will take every dime, then leave you when she impoverishes you.

This lawyer will drain your bank account and cause issues at every turn. She writes false letters to create anger and more issues so she can get paid keeping the arguing alive. She doesn’t care about the person she is fighting for only concerned about getting her money. No other lawyers want to deal with her because of her ignorance. She will flat out lie to the judge to cover her Incompetence.

She is neither ethical nor professional. I'd go so far as to say evil. My ex and I had almost worked out every last detail via mediation, for almost zero cost. Then my ex met up with Monica - and convinced her she was entitled to so much more. She even hired private investigators to dig into what she though was hidden. There was nothing. They filed motion after motion. Every week they had me in court, on BS documents.
I was on the opposing side...and for Monica it was about creating havoc, making up lies, preying on couples during emotional times, ruining families, financially, emotionally...Monica entered into a relationship with my ex (they were sleeping together) so that my ex could torture me in court for over 4 years, pro bono. My ex would cut her lawn, clean her office, bring our son there to Monica's house...and questioned about it - they would lie bold face to the judges.....it was the most horrific and devastating experienced in all my life. Finally after 7 years

She is a terrible lawyer. Totally unethical. Her fees are so high. She charges $50 to receive an email with one short sentence and she keeps the chain of emails alive. Totally rude and yes, she will destroy your family. Don't forget people, your lawyer represents you , your morals and views...totally disgusting human being.

Took on my case knowing full well there is an abundance of case law that doesn't support my position. As a lawyer, you have a duty to protect your client's interests and she did the exact opposite. Her aggressive tactics are going to cost you large $$$$$$, but when it comes down to being an advocate in front of the judge - she dropped the ball big time. Beware.

I understand why people think she's great. My X thought she was great, too, because she sent me nasty letters by the basketfull and filed and prolonged court action without agreeing to a single meeting. She demanded paperwork, but never entered into any sort of provisional discussion of terms, conditional on the paperwork being produced. After wasting 2 years of my and my X's time and 50K+ of each's resources, she settled on the courtroom steps for within a couple of thousand dollars of an offer that had been on the table the whole time, that she had not even bothered to counter. So if your reason for hiring her is to inflict pain on your X, regardless of the cost and pain for yourself, be my guest. Trust me, she is a master at making your feel entitled. Getting what you want, not so much.

I have a feeling that many of the negative comments are written by the losing parties. Monica fights hard for her clients. She understands the process and her ability to write affidavits is excellent. I highly recommend this lawyer.

The case law she cited at my trial was ruled "nowhere near on point." She misstated the case management judge's opinion from one conference to the next. I can agree with the previous comments on her aggression, but not her competence. Or even her tenacity. She did not even bother to defend her misstatements when slapped down by the judge.

If you need a shark, Monica's the one for you. She made my divorce last alot longer than it needed to be. She bills a .2 for listening to any messages left on voice mail. Thats about $45.00 just to listen to the message. Cant imagine a fax!! look she is a good lawyer if you are a mad person and want a nasty divorce.

This lawyer litterly ruined our case - by failing to file on time, missing dates, and then blaming us!!! Then she threw a temper tamper because we called her out on her BS, she over billed us and then sued us for because we did not pay for her services not being done on time and not pay for her temper tamper emails. I think she hates men!!

I would respectfully ask Ms. 8/24/15 if her case is resolved or still pending? I would like to know if she found the resolution favourable or not. In my experience she is good at telling you what you want to hear, but not so good at telling it like it is, or listening to or convincing the judge.

Rather than focusing on finding common grounds and being fair she loves creating issues, sending letters to the other party over minor issues so she gets more money from her clients. She sure looks stupid infront of the judge when she talks, if I wanted that I would have done it myself. Honestly she is costly and creates battles not worth fighting for. She makes her clients think they are right asking for the sun and fight till they lose then she gets 50 grand.....not worth it. She also is RUDE.

Very supportive, smart. Her office staf is extremely nice and knowledgeable. I don't know what the other comments are talking about Monica cut thousands off my bill for me and was never rude but she does get the job done. I would highly roccommend her to anyone.

Scorched-earth lawyer. If you want to run up costs, she's your choice. She'll go after the other party for those costs, but if she loses she'll stick her client with the bill. It makes no difference to her bottom line, as she gets paid either way. No need for repeat business as there is an unlimited supply of angry potential clients. Very sloppy. Sends correspondence to wrong parties, and fills out forms incorrectly, requiring revisits and more costs. If you are considering using this lawyer, check her out carefully. She's aggressive, for sure, but will that aggression benefit you or saddle you with costs exceeding your claim?

Very knowledgable lawyer, good but only if she is on your side, opposing client woman or man she will cut you up in pieces not even thinking what is fair, the right thing, the law or the truth. Which is ironic for she used to fight for women and the underdog but that was in her early days, but if your on the opposing side, it's all forgottan and your just another hit, she will take you out without blinking. As she likes to make people believe she is upstanding in integrity and standards but she does not always tell the truth and plays the legal game just to win. Extremely costly not because she is in demand, for she is very extensive in her actions and long written briefs or numerous letters, all ways of creating her to ca ching, your cheque book.
