I was plaintiff: My ex offered $350,000 per year in child support and maintenance. I and the paralegal countered at $425,000. Georgia Kramer my lawyer was out of the room during these important negotiations in front if judge/mediator. When Georgia returned she rejected his offer and our counter, insisting on "$500,000 after taxes." They laughed and said they'd do better at trial. Two weeks later she told me to contact my ex and discuss his offer. He refused to respond. During trial it was clear his attorney was far better prepared than Kramer: I ended up with $200,000 before taxes (maintenance and child support)--from which I pay $38,000 IRS (he claims the 3 child deductions); $30,000 real estate tax; $15,000 fire and library tax; $60,000 mortgage (he gets a reimbursement for and I don't, and I own less than a third of the house); $8,000 heating oil; ...and living for 4. I also received only 10 percent of marital assets--after a 21 year marriage: Hire Georgia Kramer if you are crazy.

I had the very good fortune to have Georgia Kramer to represent me in a very traumatic divorce after a 20 year marriage. In the course of the proceedings I was constantly impressed at how understanding, kind and supportive Ms. Kramer was to me both personnaly and professionaly, while completely devistating the adverse counsel with her firm application of the letter of the law. Now, 5 years later Ms. Kramer continues to be available with sage advise and the supportive nature that got me through the worst experience of my life to a real happy ending with the security I need as 65 year old woman.

Georgia represented me in my divorce. She was wonderful. I walked into her office feeling defeated and always left feeling empowered.
