Used Bill three times (original judgment and two modification hearings) he was successful every time for me. You can’t be a wimp with any lawyer. When he talks over you, stop him. Email is best form of communication as you can organize your thoughts and be direct. Save your questions and put them all in one email. Bill saw through all of the BS the other party was throwing and correctly advised me on every issue. I would and have recommended Bill to others with the caveat that he is not for everyone, no lawyer is, and you should speak with at least three other attorneys before picking one. Bill came as recommendation to me from another family law attorney. Your experience may vary.

I could not have gone through my divorce without him. My award exceeded what I anticipated. Bill was awesome in court, exceeding too what my husband offered. I recommend him--he can help you.

Mr. Valent is a wonderful attorney! He told me my first meeting what I could be looking at with a final decision. And 5 months later it was within a few dollars of hwat he told me for our settlement. He knows his stuff thats for sure! I wouldnt go to anyone else for divorce or anything to do with child custody cases!

I recieved the alimony Mr. Valent said I would. Though we had to go to court, I was happy with the outcome. I could not have the money owed without Mr. Valent. I recommend him.

Take these negative reviews serious. It's as if they were taken from the mouth of my relative who retained Mr. Valent! Started out aggresive and confident of winning case. Then delayed case, in my opinion, to charge more fees. Mr. Valent even said it was a "slam dunk" so why not settle and be done? Why continue to drag it out?? Mr. Valent also bad mouthed other attorney's and consented to something his client disagreed with from day 1. Knowing what I do and reading these other negative reviews, I would NOT give Mr. Valent a dime to represent me!

This lawyer is gifted in the details of the law and probably has a photographic memory. The research and write up of the law that he has done in my case has been comprehensive, accurate, and intimidated the heck out of my ex when he first got on my case! He's a gentleman, very easy to talk to, responsive, and I am so thrilled that he is helping me. My situation is very complex and he grasps it easily, listens and incorporates anything I have that helps my case.

RUN AWAY FIND SOMEONE ELSE!! He will tell you he has an "in" with Judge Raines and that he is the best Lawyer out there. He doesn't listen to you, constantly interrupts you and then does what he wants without consulting you. He overcharges for his services and then when you dispute it he will not speak to you and send your account to collections. He took 5 months to file my case when it was over and I had to repeatedly remind him to do it. He not only talks bad about his assistant but he also speaks badly of other clients he's had and gives you their names! He pushed me into using Nancy Ross Bakker a former child evaluator KNOWING that she got the case before me very wrong. I later read online a judge said she should no longer be a custody evaluator because she can't be impartial due to her own issues. A lawyer who is looking our for YOUR best interest would NEVER send you to someone like that. I would have been better off emotionally and financially choosing another attorney.

After many months and thousands spent for Mr Valent to represent me, all I have to show for it is the credit card bill! Extremely poor followup, unorganized, doesn't communicate as to the status of my final judgment, overcharges for time spent. He supposedly is still spending time preparing my judgment(so he can continue sending me a monthly bill for alleged time spent!!) and I haven't heard from him in 2 months. While the outcome at my hearing 3 months ago was favorable, I still have nothing to show for it since he hasn't filed the judges ruling/final draft with the court. This is something that should have been resolved with an few weeks of my court date! After retaining Mr Valent, I later found out from a co-worker that she had an extremely poor experience when he represented her a few years back. I think he's an example of why attorneys have bad reputations.

I did more work then this lawyer on my case. I actually settled my case with out him after spending 20k. He and my EX's lawyer were out only for them selves and not us or our child. Never told me what was going on with the case and when he needed something it was expected to be on his desk same day... He is very unorganized and poorly dressed and groomed. He gave me no confidence in my case what so ever... I did not feel he was on my side. I was unable to give him suggestions without him putting them down or interrupting me. he also referred me to Nancy Ross-Bakker who was a scam and a JOKE as a evaluator. I wish i would have went with someone else but hind sight is always 20/20. Take mt advice and go with someone else.. You wont be sorry.

DO NOT USE HIM. He has a huge ego and isnt afraid to tell you he has an "in" with Judge Raines. He doesnt listen to anything you have to say and makes decisions without speaking to you then if you ask him why he would do that, he will tell you that he spoke to you about it. He lies and does what he wants to make himself look good. He doesnt care about his clients at all. He also blames his legal assistant for not taking care of things when it was his responsibility. Wish I would have remembered that old saying, "If someone has to tell you they are the best, they probably arent".
