It was a pleasant one on one experience. Transparent communication between me and Aswani. This is the only lawyer that I would recommend should the need arise that you require one in his wide field of expertise. My case was very complicated and very stressful to me and my family. Mr. Datt was always honest with me and very diligent in clearing my name. He has the ability to explain 200 pages of legal jargon in one paragraph in terms we can all understand. He truly excels in his profession and is true to his word. He does what he says he will do. I would like to thank Mr Aswani for all the help that he provided me through out the case. He is highly knowledgeable and have thorough understanding of the Law. Its because of his hard work and how he presented my case to the Crown we got the charges dropped and case didn’t go to trial. He saved me and my family to go through such a horrible experience to go to trial and may be end up being in jail.
Its only because of his in depth knowledge and paying attention to details Crown dropped the charges. The way he prepared me for the Crown meeting and his presence and support during the Crown meeting made a huge difference to drop charges. Which is life saver for my family.
I don’t have words for express how thankful I am and how he took care of my case. I highly recommend him for anyone to have as a defense lawyer.

Good lawyer! I think he is a great lawyer I would highly recommend him for anybody is one of the best criminal lawyers in the greater Toronto area.He is great at dealing with drinking and driving charges from getting his cleints acquitted.He is very knowledgeable and tenacious I would highly recommend him for criminal charges specially that involve drinking and driving.

Absolutely one of the greediest lawyers. Told me my case would be $2500 and then once he got the case notes, he told me i had to pay another 2500. Never bothered to plead my case down and was more interested in just pleading guilty. DO NOT USE HIM!

I contacted Aswani after being charged with Aggravated Assault and Weapons dangerous in 2013 (serious offences under the CC). With evidence stacked high against me – I was honestly, overwhelmed with the court system and my work and family life suffered due to the pending charges. However, Aswani from the initial consultation was keened to put forth a vigorous defense and explained the numerous flaws present in the Crown’s case. At trial I realized that Aswani was the right and smart choice, my version of the story and facts were presented with upmost professionalism. While key witnesses questioned persistently exposing there prior contradictory statements and not only was the evidence challenged – some of it was excluded. This made it extremely difficult for the Crown to prove its case. His trial performance displayed vast experience and knowledge. I would highly recommend Aswani as he exceeded my expectations. I was extremely happy with the results and I am forever in debt to him.

My son was charged with 14 counts of fraud and possession of stolen credit cards. Mr. Datt fought hard at his bail hearing and exposed the weaknesses in the Crown's case and got my son released on bail. This was after the Crown said that my son was going to stay in jail for sure. Mr. Datt is prepared, knows the law and has more courage than most defence lawyers to fight with the Crown. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a top trial lawyer.

I ranked his communication higher as he was very quick to discuss the different ways I could plead guilty. he didn't care if I was guilty or not. fighting the case didn't come up. I went with another lawyer and was aquitted
