Met with her Friday. She praised me on how organized I was "lawyers dream client" was her words. There is a pension disagreement during common-law/marriage. She did say to check with a property lawyer. After spending an hour, she took my money. Emailed her Monday saying I want to go ahead with creating a financial statement and never heard back. I sent her another email Wednesday and finally got an email, she stated: I've considered continuing with your matter but I feel that I would not be a good fit as your as you described it extends far beyond that my experience does. You should choose counsel whose primary interest is Matrimonial Property. I do wish you all the best. I requested a refund of my money as I had already filled her on on my case before meeting-so there were no surprises. Her response: The fee for a consultation is non refundable as part of the consult is to see if the case is suitable for the firm, and the lawyer for the client.
Waste of money and time!
