Would we use or recommend Mr. Calvin Beresh and his firm in future - NO. His firm represented our mother's Last Will & Testament which was lost by his office. Probate was therefore complicated. It resulted in applications being submitted to the Probate Court for the Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee Without a Will. There were anxious days of waiting for the court's decision to accept or reject the application. Our mother passed away in March 2020 and the ordeal was resolved in the end.

Beresh is a very nasty, greedy man hiding behind a big smile and phony line of bs. I was hit by a drunk driver w/o inurance. He had me coming to his office for 3 years pretending I'd get a big settlement. Finally got $5000 from the government fund for people hit by drivers who were not insured. HE TRIED TO TAKE THE WHOLE $5000. Just nonchalantly asked me, at age 23, to sign it over to him. I had to take him before a judge to get my money. He's a terrible, deceitful person who is only looking for ways to get richer. Avoid at all costs.

This man is as crooked and phony as they come. Somehow he got my mom to change her executors from my sister and I to him. When I asked my lawyer if this was legal he said yes, but most lawyers consider it UNETHICAL He also told me Cal was going around to other lawyers to buy up their wills. So when my mom passed not only did he get his fee but also the executor share. If that isn't wrong and crooked I don’t know what is. He acts like he cares but it’s all a big phony act. Christian? nope a rotten person? Yup!!! That money should have been split with my 4 sisters and I, not that crook. He offered me his business card the last day and said I could have a free will with him, I handed it back and told him not ever would I use him or recommend him. I just today saw him at a restaurant and it brought it all back, what a terrible person he is making double his money by ripping people off. I hope someday karma gets him.

Cal welcomed me with a call to his new branch family law "let him know how the new guy to family law was doing"8weeks into legal "help" I contacted Cal by email when no response I took copies of emails down to Cal's Niagara Falls office that was a degrading experience. with a promise from Cal he would show for a meeting at his St Catharines branch he never did show. 13months of my work all came crashing in 8weeks they walked away I'm left not only to deal with the mess but the attitude is got exactly what I should have now move on with your life when you have to announce you're Christian ??

I recently dealt with Cal Beresh and have referred friends to him. He is very knowledgeable and professional and acts in the best interests of his clients. He has been a great help to me and to several of my friends and acquaintances.

Both my parents and my husband and I have used Cal Beresh's services and our experience was far from the negative comments that have been posted on this site. He is always concerned with putting the interests of his clients first and to give them peace of mind. He is personable and professional and went above and beyond what we expected, often spending additional time out of his schedule to make sure we were satisfied. It is very unfortunate that individuals have posted such absurd comments about Mr. Beresh when in fact he is a superb lawyer. My family and I have recommended many to use his services and all have been very pleased.

Mr Beresh did a wonderful job in explaining the legalities around estate planning. He was eminently professional but also warm, and the costs associated with his work for me were low.

He is honest and trustworthy. Calvin has helped our family immensely. We were able to settle our family dispute amicably. I would recommend him to anyone who needs to have their Will or Estate settled in peace.

This man is anything but helpful. My grandmother died last November and all this guy has done for us has in effect kicked us out of our house. Me and father's lives have been hell beacuse of his decision to sell our home to settle a credit card debt of just under $8000. This man is just a leech and out for your money. Don't ever do business with this firm, you will regret it. He puts on an act to hook you and you're life is ruined due to his so called advise.

This lawyer is anything but caring. We were told that we could call him any time. As a matter of fact he said to make sure you call him with any issues whatsoever. When we called, he wouldn't shutup and listen to what we had to say so he was answering on assumptions not facts and then when he said his piece and never did hear what we had to say he said bye and hung up. I don't call that caring in any way shape or form.

Cal Beresh has been our lawyer for years. He is both knowledgable and kind. In fact he has even done some pro-bono(free) work for my elderly mother. I highly dispute the characterization of this lawyer as money oriented. He is a man and business man of absolute integrity and honesty. His goal is to keep families from disharmony when settling estates . We value him as a family lawyer and would recommend him to anyone who wants honest and caring advice from their lawyer.

This lawyers main concern is to line his pocket with as much money out of the estate as he can. When you think he is being helpful & making sure you are protected by asking about family dynamics, his true agenda is lining his pocket. He uses your grief as a means to manipulate you into signing his agreement that states he keeps getting more and more money from you. He operates like a drama queen provokes family contentions then tries to smooth them over. More money for him. I don't have a problem making a good living but to retire on just one account no sorry not for me. Anyone using this lawyer be aware.
