He was a very efficient and fair attorney for me and I had become pretty close with his mother, on a business level, and most of his staff during the years that he represented me. Although he has shamed the seat that he sat in as a very experienced attorney, it is without doubt that the greatest traps are the traps that we set for ourselves!

Jo Scali is by far the worst mistake anyone could ever make. DO NOT waste your time or money on this loser. He does not return calls misses court dates over and over. He didnt answer a court date for me and told me i didnt have to be there but he never showed up come to find out i ended up with a judgement against me for no one showing up at court. Was a nightmare to fixed coasted thousands more then it had to and no other attorney wants to go after him for malpractice uless the case is better than 6 figures. So i got screwed and Jo got my money and didnt so what he told me he was going to do. He is NO GOOD STAY AWAY it will COAST U DEARLY.

Rip off artist who never signs any contracts or for the purposes of taking your money after ripping you off off thousands for a retainers fee and never disclosing his price " on the record" so he can over charge you later, then you are out of a lot of money because he has the upper hand because you never had any contract stating exactly how much he's supposed to get paid. Please stay away from him if you want to save money.

Didn't return phone calls,kept voice mail full so I couldn't leave a message. Showed up 30 minutes late for court and the judge started without him and I got slammed. He never even spoke to me before court so I had no idea what was going on. After I replaced him I sent 2 certified letters and called 6 times to get my retainer back and was ignored. Finally I sent another certifed leter to the NYS Grievance Comm. and they had to contact him. Then 3 weeks later I finally got my check. Even his office staff of 1 p/t and 1 f/t gave me a hard time. I had to keep calling and going in (about 10 times) to get copies of papers I wanted. DO NOT HIRE HIM. You'll wish you hadn't
