Joseph Caulfield represented me in a divorce.
Caulfield charged a flat rate for his services, over and over.
Caulfield did not follow my instructions.
Caulfield insisted that I “trust him” and failed to do more than make a total mess.
Caulfield did not protect me from a wide range of false allegations, leaving these things to chance.
Caulfield used the term sadistic a lot and in retrospect, that seems about right: Caulfield, opposing counsel, the judge and many others seemed to revel in the acrimonious abuses.
Caulfield claims to be an expert in family law. He demonstrated a high level of cluelessness and failed to even mention rampant abuses that occurred on his watch.
So, if you are ready to too leave a quiet and thoughtful family life, to give you kids to someone Caulfield described as “mentally defective”, ready to have your kids taught hate, your alienated kid forced kids into a locked insane asylum and personally head for skid row, Caulfield is your man!

This lawyers mansion is build off of childrens tears. I was that child and I cried those tears.

I was refreshingly impressed with Atty. Joseph Caulfield's attention to my case, prompt communications, and kind and genuine nature. He quoted me a reasonable rate, stuck to it, and negotiated the best possible outcome. Atty. Caulfield's experience and knowledge proved to be my best defense.

When the property manager of our condo complex filed a phony stalking charge against, Joe defended me against was able to get it dropped.

I do NOT recommend using this attorney for a family matter. I had to hire another attorney AFTER the fact, that many things that he settled in my ex's mediation was either incorrect or completely left out. One of the outside attorneys that I had to hire stated that Joseph Caufield had other clients in mediation or that he had represented that had similar issues as ours. Both my ex and I were extremely upset with his 'service' as mediator. He cares too much about his side businesses; Magician and Martial Arts instructor. Avoid this "attorney" at all costs. Philip D.

nice man, but is way too concerned in maximizing his hours with client. only when you ask him to expedite the process, he'll then seemingly and momentarily step up to get things done, then reverts to slowing the process down dramatically. i felt almost like i was being nickled & dimed with him. Instead of wanting to really understand the entire story for my case and offering a real ear and seeming to have absolutely no compassion for what I was going through, he would just sit back and listen every time - extremely passive. then when he was either rushed by the courts, he would quickly speed things up, that i believe could've been more in my favor if he would've taken the time to better listen and understand. Shortly after, I went to another attorney and realized that mr. caufield should not have been my initial attorney, but someone else that had more sincere interest in getting things done right and in my favor, not just to line his pockets. Joe was a GAL in a family matter for my child. He allowed both sides to bring forward issues and concerns. He then took the time to do very thorough research and made careful consideration before he arrived at a conclusion that was in the child's best interest. The case was very complex and not easy and when an opinion was formed, he continued to treat everyone with dignity and respect and never lost sight of the fact that he worked for my child's best interest. I imagine this job is not easy at all, but Joe's talent and character certainly made it seem so. I am still impressed at the depth of research that he did. He left no stone unturned. I think it made all the difference in the world and my child is better off as a result. Thank you, Joe.

Attorney Caulfield was the GAL in our case and did an outstanding job. He was the only one who would listen and has helped save a little girl from a life of drug abuse and neglect. We are very thankful for the investigation he did and would reccomend him to anyone. He took the time to look into everything both sides said and found out the truth, that we knew all along.
