I recently (2015-2016) worked with Mr. Kelley on a criminal case. It is my experience with him that he is on top of what is going on in my case and made sure I was updated. He developed the case strategy and reviewed it with me always working closely when prepping for the hearings and trial. He had responses to all the State's claims and what seemed like all the cases to support my defense arguments. Mr. Kelley was not "cheap", he was worth 5 times what I paid him. All the attorneys I met with before hiring him had non-refundable retainers so I had no problem with this term in our contract to hire him. I recommend him with two thumbs up. I hope not to need him again but I'll send everyone I know that needs an attorney to him.

If you hire Micheal J. Kelley, please read your retainer agreement carefully. If you are not satisfied with his services, he will not return your retainer. In addition, it does not appear that his knowledge of the Florida DUI Laws are up to par with his collegues. He will return phone calls... which is good, but he is very timid, non-aggressive and accepts what is told to him by the governing agencies that he is dealing with on your behalf. If you want a lawyer that will not fight for you but will just push you through the process... Michael J. Kelley is your man.
