Ms. Lenz is very experienced and professional and knows AB family law. she is well respected and doesnt allow intimidation and games from OC. She also thinks about the children of the divorce and counsels to minimize the impact on them. i recommend her to those who think fairness and children first

To be clear, I was self representing against Elaine. Elaine did me the greatest favour anyone could ever ask for. She very nearly bankrupted my ex - while accomplishing very little over 8 months. Then before she finished (8 months!) putting a settlement together, my ex fired her. What did Elaine do? Send the nearly finished draft proposal to my lawyer (hired one at the nine month mark), completely giving away their hand. With depleted resources - and hardly able to afford another lawyer, the ex was much more accommodating and can I say - motivated - to settle. Could not have worked out better.

Elaine has been my lawyer for the past 6 years helping with child custody. I've been through 11 court hearings with her, including one domestic special. She won't get bullied and intimidated by opposing council. She is always prepared. She is expensive and I found things don't progress as quick as I may have desired sometimes but she got for me everything I wanted. Thanks Elaine!

During my consultation, Ms. Lenz said that she would use cheaper associates, and she never did. Combined with the fact that my ex was self representing, my bill went way beyond what it should have (compared to what others have paid out by the end of their divorce, I have paid almost the equivalent). I asked that things be dealt with as quickly as possible but after 8 months, very little was accomplished with the divorce (papers were served and there was one court appearance). In the end, I had to fire her and search for another lawyer. To have been assaulted and then having to deal with this from a lawyer who you hire to help you, is unacceptable. There was no concern from Ms. Lenz about what she did. Unprofessional behaviour in my opinion.

Suddenly, without any warning, I faced a late-in-life divorce. Elaine Lenz was recommended by a colleague & a friend. From our first meeting, I knew she would do her experienced best for me. And, she did. She was always responsive with time & realistic advice; with humour, grace, reassurances & pragmatism. It took five gruesome years, but I was well-served. I am free to live an authentic, rewarding third act of MY choosing & design. Elaine helped me get here. I would offer her as counsel anytime, to anyone. Calgary,Alberta. September, 2016. LMS

If you are reading this review, I sympathize because that means you are going through a divorce. I was happily married for 20 years and unhappily married for the last 10 years. Because of the unhappiness, getting a divorce was the right/only answer. I was hoping to have an amicable agreement and move on with our lives. However, my Ex and her lawyer were extremely aggressive and it became clear that I needed a good lawyer to come to my aid and ensure that the end result would be fair. After engaging several lawyer friends about who they would recommend, I went with Elaine Lenz and am glad that I did. Her advise was always realistic and I was able to convey what I wanted was a fair outcome. She delivered.
I was glad to have had her as my lawyer and am now able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. A very tough process, but I thought that Elaine did a great job helping me through it all.

Her motive is to waste your time and over-bill you. She is very biased towards going to court over mediation. In my case that was a massive waste of time, money and stress since it cycled around to meditation after court. Communication was poor and that wasted time I was billed for.

I hired this lawyer , paid her up front 60,000.00 . I got to the day of the court date and she left me , she quit .... She said all along you have a great case ... I would win this case ,She had so much experience ... Don't worry then the day of the court . She left me . I had no money for a new lawyer so had to try to do the court case on my own......if you want to go though that give this person your money

I suspect that the negative comments about Ms Lenz came from the spouse of one of her clients who didn't like the result. At all times I found Ms. Lenz to be extremely helpful, caring and available when I needed her.

SHE WILL BLEED YOUR BANK ACCT DRY BY CREATING ISSUES THAT NEVER EXISTED. ONCE A CLIENT, ALWAYS A CLIENT AS SHE IS NOT ABOUT COLLABORATIVE AGREEMENTS. SHE LOVES RUNNING TO COURT AND IS UNETHICAL IN HER EFFORTS TO ACHIEVE TACTICAL ADVANTAGES. YOU WILL NEVER REACH A RESOLUTION AS LONG AS SHE IS YOUR LAWYER. TIME FOR HER TO RETIRE ALREADY.
