I had toenie as my lawyer for a custody case, he didn’t care about winning or my feelings he even went as far as to help the opposition on multiple occasions. I would highly suggest going with someone else. He also did not file my order correctly multiple times, I had to do it myself. Highly do not recommend.

This is an honest review , I really like toenie as he's an accomplished lawyer but it seems getting to the bar was where his ambition died,much like all the other reviews I was talked over n laughed at and felt he was representing the other side and wasting my time, lawyers that take cases just to get paid are the worst sort n in my opinion toenie needs to retire very shortly before he gets himself into trouble.its sad really cause toenie helped me as a child with my own parents n now I've come to need his help cleaning up a small mess but all he did was make it worse, he's simply put getting old n can't keep up anymore.it would be awesome if you actually read your own reviews toenie cause from me to you , stop leading people into a false sense of hope just to screw things up for them by doing your job the worst you can.

He didn’t listen to me and he talked over me many times. Asked me to tell him about the situation but he just jumped to conclusions instead. Laughed at me before I had a chance to explain myself. Rude and ignorant. I hired him yet he seemed to be representing the other side. Worse than communicating with my ex. I would go elsewhere.

After my ex-partner did everything in his power to keep our daughter in Children's Aid Society's care, Mr. Hersch told me I should give him visitation. He didn't represent my interests, or the interests of my daughter. Her father is a convicted criminal and sex offender, I didn't want him around her. I was going through my undergraduate degree while maintaining scholarships and bursaries, but somehow my ex seems more believable? Just a terrible lawyer all around, I actually had to argue with him in the courtroom waiting area about whether he was representing me or my ex. Don't go to this guy, there are better lawyers out there.

Toenie only cares about meeting his billing obligations for the Firm. He will nickle and dime you and knows nothing about your case. Does the bare minimum while maximizing the billings. After two years, the only progress that had been made was to the pockets of himself and HP. Would rather represent myself than have Toenie touch my file. DB

Toenie spent months on my case and yet every time I met with him, sometimes every week in preparation for trial, he was still getting very basic facts wrong. In the end I settled based on his advise. I have since retained a new lawyer who has advised me that his advise was wrong. I don't know why exactly he wasn'5 on my side but it is clear to me that he did not have my best interests at heart and absolutely did not have the best interests of my children at heart. I imagine that if you have an easy to win case he will go to bat for you but if your situation is more nuanced I would go with someone more dedicated to actual people.

Toenie bills for work not done or done poorly. He attended court on my matter, after 20 months on my case and knew nothing about it. He could not answer any of the Judge's questions. Made himself and me in the process, look absolutely foolish. Then he had the nerve to bill me for his attendance. Unbelievable. He is inethical and does not care about his "client". Would never recommend him to anyone.

Toenie was a great help during my custody process. Always went the extra mile. Clearly some of the ratings that are written here are from the opposite side of the fence

He is a terrible lawyer, doesnt represent his clients properly and should go back to school for ethics !!! Dont waste your time or money he wont fight for you !!!!

Toenie knows his stuff, and he knows and understands people very well. He has helped my daughters and I as well as our family to re-connect again. I am very greatful. Very Content Client.

Toenie is an excellent lawyer and a very good hearted person, he is realistic, honest and fair. He loves his job and it shows. These matters can be very difficult and take a very long time to be resolved, patience is key. my hat is off to Toenie Hersch, I highly recommend him.
