Very knowledgeable and professional. Mrs. Delaney assisted me with setting up my estate plan and was an excellent attorney.

I am not sure that I have ever worked with a more un-professional individual in my life. The communication was terrible. The only time we received any information (trust inventory, distribution of funds, tax information) was when we personally contacted Mrs. Delaney. Then we were treated as a nuisance. She never met a time line on any correspondence set up. She even had initial distribution checks that sat on her desk for weeks, and then disputed that she had given the date for arrival. She then had to correct herself when she pulled the letter and reviewed. The executor of the will passed away several months after the death of our family member, and we were notified nearly 3 1/2 months later. I would not recommend Mrs. Delany!

Amy Delaney is an excellent elder law attorney. She is in very high demand as one of nine certified elder law attorneys in Illinois. She is very busy and often must restrict the number of clients she takes, but that is to ensure proper and adequate attention to each case. I am very happy with her work.

Ms. Delaney wrote my mother's will. She was paid in full and upon my mother's death there was one question regarding a retirement account in which the wording of the will was confusing. We were willing to pay Ms. Delaney for her time to clarify the wording of the will. In speaking to Ms. Delaney, she told us that she was not taking new clients and would not clarify the wording in the will. I did not consider us new clients since we had retained her to write the estate plan. I felt that she ethically should have answered a reasonable question regarding the will she wrote. She steadfastly refused to answer any questions regarding the will even upon the request of my mother's financial advisor. I would strongly suggest that any clients ask her if their attorney client relationship ends as soon as the ink dries on the estate plan and she is paid. Any estate attorney should be willing to answer questions regarding the estate plan of their client once that client is deceased.
