took 2 years to create a irrevocable residential trust which was subject to PA realty transfer tax of over $5000. A revocable trust would have avoided this tax which I had appealed and lost. 99% of lawyers would have known this and saved their client this large tax. No offer made to help with this payment. He asked us for a retainer 7 months ago. He did NOTHING except ask us for more information (most of which we had already provided. When the issue became time critical, we had to engage another attorney who is just as competent and asked for a retainer which was 1/3 of what Hetherington wanted. We asked for an accounting of his time and a refund of the balance of the retainer one month ago and we have not heard from him since.
