AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Dont make the same mistake i made! Worst decision of my entire life using Lewis Shafer as a Lawyer.
He said it wouldn't cost much and ended up spending close to 100,000 after all was said and done and still LOST the case.
Please please please if anything can come out good from loosing my retirement fund it would be to keep anyone else from making the same mistake i made. Lewis Shafer you ruined my life.

This guy gives lawyers a bad name..... I Have a pretty good source close to him that his internet ratings and reviews were so bad, he needed to enlist his friends to write positive reviews. Run from this guy...... RUN! There is ZERO chance of getting anything other than a severe beating to your checking account in my view. He just fans the flames of discord and bills as much as he can.... He is shameful to his profession.

Lewis Shafer/Shafer Cohen is one of south Florida's most knowledgeable attorneys in his field. I have found this man to be honorable and very professional. Whomever is writing these fictional comments has had things go wrong that were most likely out of Mr Shafers control, courts dont always rule or act for a client as they assume. Mr Shafer always puts his best foot forward 100% of the time.

He provided terrible service and had no problem demanding my last penny from me (my entire savings of 85K), but was also unprepared in court, failed to provide important evidence, even asked me questions he had not prepared me for and was clearly responsible for me loosing everything. He turned his back on me when I had no $ left to appeal my final judgment, which was entirely prejudice of Judge Burton. I was forced out of my home due to my ex lying to Burton that he would borrow $ from his dad to make Mtg payments, however my ex moved back in, is living free and collecting/pocketing rent $ from tenants and has paid NOTHING toward the mortgage in 10 months. My home is in foreclosure and my credit is destroyed. He could have at least fought to keep me in my home. I am struggling financially and he is living a life of leisure. cant tell you how crooked this guy is. this guy has a nick name "the paper boy" he rights memo after memo to drive up the bill.my bill was over 90.000 before even gettting a mediation ! then he attached my bank accounts.he fulled the flames between me and my husban and would not stop with his sexual comments including remarks about "dildos" fixing him up with my friends, and what he would like to do to me. i felt so unconfortable and vulmenerable this guy should be disbarred

Lewis Shafer has represented me on family law matters as well as commercial litigation. Unfortunately for me I have had to hire attorneys for various matters (mostly business) several times and have witnessed some truly incompetent counsel. Recently I had the opportunity to sit with Mr. Shafer at a deposition that he was handling on my behalf and I have to say I was so impressed by the way he handled it I couldn’t stop praising him. I say this without any reservation he is phenomenally good at what he does. I would recommend him to anyone without a second thought. I see someone else has written some negative info on Mr. Shafer I can only speculate that it must be a disgruntled adversary that is looking to slander his reputation. I am a real client giving an accurate review. If you want a top attorney then look no further.

this attorney will intentionally bleed your bank account dry! he is known by fellow attorneys as the "paper pusher" he sends letter after letter to opposing council to increase his time. He intentionally fans his clients flames in order to keep emotions high! he will promise you unreasonable out comes only to leave you very disappointed in the end . if you don't mind dropping $50,000 before you even get to mediation then this is your man! stay away!
