I have had Kim Ross as my lawyer for close to 12 years. I was referred to Mr. Ross through a family friend when I was 18 years old, the first time I ever went to jail (for an unpaid no insurance fine) Kim had gotten me out immediately and helped me get into a program to work and pay of my fine. Throughout the years I got worse, and got into trouble more frequent for worse and worse things. He stuck by me through thick and thin. No matter how flakey I was or how many times I got arrested, he always had my back and got me out of jail everytime. He is a very loyal, caring, and empathetic. The last time I got arrested, ontop of all my fail to appears, warrants, etc, I was looking at some jail time. Mr. Ross once again came to my rescue and got me out on bail. Ive been sober now 3 years, going to school, getting my life back together and I owe a huge thanks to Mr. Ross for showing up and sticking by me as my lawyer through all the madness throughout the years. I highly recommend him.

He doesn't coordinate he leaves things last minute, he promises to file your evidence and never does he will extort you during trial for money you don't have he will force you to take a plea deal or hell walk off your case he will leave you high an dry and make a deal behind your back with the crown he calls no witnesses he tells you that's your job during trial because he's not gona spend his money referring to what you've paid him as his money and that you have to get your own filing for witnesses and do it yourself right in the middle of trial. He throws away you rights with the judge ups your charges to worse ones and agrees to it to get it to federal court he lies he steals what you have and when your dry he will **** you over he is a horrible lawyer and all I have said is from personal experience, he is not prepared for court he has no case law to back up his points even when he finds one, he will not explain the rights you are giving up in a forced plea deal does not knowtec

Started out seemingly competent. We had a fairly simple legal matter to sort out That ended up being open and shop within a matter of two months. He hardly had to do any work.The communication was beyond terrible. Constantly missing scheduled phone calls, ignoring our emails, still waiting for our receipt and retainer and this was seven months ago! We had to drive into Calgary to see him and he was an hour late! Nice enough person but action speak louder than words and I’m super disappointed in the service and the lack of professionalism and regard for our time and money.

In my opinion, all lawyers should be tested for illegal drug use. Mr. Ross is poorly prepared and is entertaining like a circus act. He can make a simple matter become so confusing and then he blames it on others for his failure to communicate clearly. He operates on his terms and court procedure seems to bore him as he shows little respect toward it. He takes over for the judge by scolding witnesses for not following procedure, yet he blurts out ridiculous unsupported claims. He's losing it.

Something so unfortunate happened to us. We hired him to retain the case. However, He wasnt prepared for the case. Extremely disappointed with the output. He charged so much money but results were extremely disappointing. How could someone be so insensitive to his client. He never answers to his calls. Rarely respond to emails. If someone wants to punish himself with all the frustration and panic attacks as a result of unprofessional attitude, then go for him.

This is a lawyer you can trust. He does his best for his clients and is very successful which is why he is in demand. Kim navigated me through a really hard case, sometimes he was abrupt but he never sugar coated the facts. He is smart and connected within the court system to give you the best advice. I have always retained Kim Ross for myself and my loved ones for over 20 years.He is known to have poor communication with clients ,however this is because he is doing his job Also He has to bill for the time spent reassuring clients on the phone that he is on it he would rather just let his work soeak for itself.Trust him he is always looking for the best possible outcome .I owe my freedom and my happiness to this man the same can be said from my wife.I cant say he gives better or worse service to either cash or legal aid clients i have been each and his service to me has always been better than i could hope for.bail at the JP ,Trial,Disposition,Early resolution,Plea Bargins,Joint submissions,Queensbench bail,he and his team ,judy? always have done great for me and my family.I highly recomend ross hepner law in any situation needing Top quality representation in criminal courts .*CWM

When I was in jail, I called his office close to thirty times and never received a call back. When he did show up to court I was pleased with the results though. Very expensive guy however.

Kim is one of the best around. Very sharp and knows his stuff very well. I wouldn't call anyone else. To the other comments posted below regarding lack if communication from him and money, he's a high profile lawyer who is constantly working for his clients day and night, of course he wants paid, do you work for free ? if you retain Kim you won't be disappointed, I've used his services a couple Times with great outcomes.

I worked with/against Mr. Ross several years ago when I was a police officer. He always fought tooth and nail for his clients and had their best intersts at heart. His devotion and professional demeanor allowed him to negotiate some very successful deals for his clients...if not an aquital. He's the kind of guy you don't mind losing to because he's a straight shooter...so to speak. Haven't seen him in years, hope he is well.
