My experience with Daniel G. O'Day was the worst experience with an attorney I've ever had in my life. My elderly father's home burnt down and I engaged Mr O'Day to assist in proving ownership so the Ins. co. would pay (home had been insured for 25 yrs) Ins. disputed ownership & refused payment. Apparently there was some problem with a quick claim deed not being filed correctly. Mr. O'Day handled this problem by accusing my brother of possible fraud (untrue) and by refusing to answer any of my phone calls for nearly three months. When I finally contacted his associates and Mr. O'Day took my call he informed me that his office had lost my father's complete file. Mr. O'Day was rude, condsending, and dishonest with me, and my family( brother and elderly father). The end result was that we were not represented and the Ins. agent (Tom Wilson Ag., Henry Il.) refused to pay my father for any claim. Our family lost over $90,000 due to Mr. O'Day's poor work ethic or just his general laziness.
