	1/11/19	1	1	1	1	1	Chuck was a long time family friend and we where handed off to a incompetent lawyer after specifically requesting to only have him. He promised he would represent my son. Which he played a extremely important roll in my sons life. To turn around and throw him to the wolves and he is still in court. Needless to say we dont associate with him or his office. He is more interested in money then honor and commitment to friends.

	8/27/13	5	5	5	5	5	I don't know why this people would say this thing but i used Chuck and he was great his price was around the same as every one else.When ever i called it may not have been Chuck who called back but his legal aid kathy would call back the same day and always answered my question wright my trail went on for 19 months at time i had my doubts but the end result was fantastic I refer him to ever one I know and have not been shot yet JOE P.
*	5/16/13	5	5	5	5	5	I have been a lifetime resident of the Joliet area and was well aware of Chuck Bretz's reputation as a successful criminal attorney. However, I was seeking a divorce attorney. I asked for recommendations from other professionals and friends and the answer was always the same 'Bretz and Associates'. Now that my divorce is final, I was impressed and pleased with Mr. Bretz and his staff. My calls were always returned promptly and I was always kept informed with the status of my case. Due to my schedule Mr. Bretz was kind enough to see me a Saturday even though it was his day off. Mr. Bretz is an aggressive attorney and succeeded in getting excellent results in an expedited manner. He and his staff are highly professional and competent. I would recommend 'Bretz and Associates' to anyone seeking legal service.
	1/19/13	1	1	1	1	1	All of the comments below are true! You go there thinking Chuck is going to represent you and then he hands your case to one of the other less than adequate attys in his office. They charge and double charge you for work they never complete. They show up to court un prepared. This office has cost me over ten thousand dollars and I still lost custody of my kids. They don't return phone calls and you only hear from them if they are looking for money or the paralegal has a question. You are better off representing yourself and using the internet as a tool for research. You will end up doing a better job than anyone in this office.
*	7/12/12	1	1	1	1	1	Chuck was only available on a Saturday AM and was wearing a ball cap. So unprofessional. I pulled my case and he found $2000 worth of expenses to eat up the retainer in transferring my file. His "mad dog" approach in the court room cost me two years of custody of my children. Avoid him for your own sake and your children if custody is involved.
	5/2/12	1	1	1	1	1	I would advise you not to use the firm. Everything you read is correct. Chuck sold my case out to the state. The police lied and the charges were unfounded he still influenced me into coping a plea. The firm dont really work for you. They charge you these out ranges fees for not servicing you. If i could do it over i would never use them again. Cosmo also is a terrible lawyer. Please take this advise and run if you don't you might regrett it. Like i did.

	6/1/11	1	1	1	1	1	I was very impressed how incredibly expensive he was. Someone else called him about my case and he talked with them without permission from me and charged me $800. Nobody can afford these people.
